I just saw this film via Here! TV (a gay on demand channel).

Susannah has a small role in it as the former girlfriend of one of the main characters who appears in flashbacks. She looks really great.

The weird thing is, as I was watching it, I realized I had seen the movie before... probably when it came out in the 90's..... maybe at film festival or something.

At the time, I dont think I realized it was Susannah..... but I remember the character and thinking she seemed really familiar, like I knew her from somewhere. Isn't that crazy?

I actually only watched this movie on cable the other day cuz I wanted to see her. not realizing I had seen it years ago and didn't put the pieces together!

The same director did a movie more recently called "Luster" and Susannah has an even smaller part in that one... playing a lesbian who is hte gf of another character.

One of the things I always liked about her and Wendy is that I always got this vibe that I knew them or people like them... it's hard to explain....especially since they are from CA and I'm from NY ... but when I did meet them briefly they did seem and talk just like I expected them too.

Anyway, the movie isn't that great.... ti's about the gay hustler scene in LA.... was done very low budget..... supposedly done before other movies like it came out like Johns etc.

both those films are horrid....i love sus for supporting gay film but girl....those films?

and the girls lived in ny for a few of their highschool years..maybe you do know them...

The other crazay thing about those movies.....

I rented Luster on DVD and watched the commentary track... and the Director (Everett Lewis or something like that)..... he commented on Susannah (who had a small part).... and was saying something about how she used to be involved with Prince.... .... and his quote was just really stupid..... I wish I could quote it verbatim.... it was something like..

"oh yeah... Prince wrote that song about her... you know.... what's it called... "yu're the most beautiful " or "no one's as beautiful as you".....

Basically he mangles the song title.... and then remembers or someone tells him it's Nothing Compares 2 U, the one that Sinead O'connor re-did.

But I think he's confusing The Beautiful Ones and NC2U..... were both written for her?

At any rate.... he sounded like in idiot IMO. I wonder if they are friends? why else would she have been in his movies?

I thought she was a good actor from what little we get to see of her. Better than the lead guy B. Wyatt (who is in both movies).

oh god..that actor is just straight arse horrid.....

and while the beautiful ones was written about susannah i guess you could say nothing compares was written for her....and the family.

I own Skin and Bone on DVD and refer to it as my gay porn collection.
One of my friends really like the movie...but he is a perv so there ya go!

The director seems to use a lot of the same actors in his films so I reckon he and
Sus and the other peeps in the films are friends. Someone should ask her about her acting persuits at the next Largo show as I think she was trying to bust into it for a while.

I reckon so. It was first released in 1996 but I think it was shot around 1994 (based on Susannah's hair style!). Did you notice David Arquette (sp?) at the beginning of the movie?
I think Luster was shot sometime between 1995-1997 (just a guess).
