I been sort of following with the Largo shows and I been reading posts that Wendy had made some remarks about Prince's songwriting were once good and she used Rasberry Beret as an example. And I took that comment like "Whoa Wendy had dissed Prince." And even Susannah warned her not to let him hear it, and Wendy have this "Oh Well Let him" attitude. I was suprised by that comment because just last year she said nothing but good things about Prince and she was very forgiving and overjoyed of reuniting with him.

ALso last year, we thought after that Prince and Wendy's performamce on Tavis Smiley that there was going to be a new Prince album featurng W&L and vice versa. Plus Prince and Wendy also performed together again at the Essence Festival and also they gave each other props during the interviews that they made separately.

And now this year Wendy said that there wasn't going to be a new album and also that likely included the one that supposed to be featuring Prince. That announcement wasn't a suprised as Wendy tend to say things before she thinks. Also at the Largo show I don't recalled anyone who went said she gave any props to Prince yet when she performed in the past, she had. And also that Prince didn't wanted to perform with them at Largo's yet he doesn't mind if some of the other artists asked him. Maybe that Wendy and Lisa tried to reach out to Prince and that once again he pushes them away. If it was 2004, unlikely Wendy would made that comment like she had at Largo's. It's nothing wrong of her saying her opinion (I disagreed), it just the way she said it indicated that she and Prince might once again are on unpleasent terms.

I think their cool with Prince now – they’ve been going to each other’s gigs and gigs of mutual friends. And I can’t recall that happening in the last ten years. So, I think its all good.

1) there is a new wendy and lisa album in the works...they did record earlier in the year like they said they would..they just didnt finish enough "quality" songs that will add to their beautiful collection.

2) as soon as wendy made the comments she tried to clarify what she meant..prince's lyrics up to lovesexy were unmatched by anyone...she gushed and gushed at how god his songwriting was.....

thats why i didnt even go near the subject in my initial write-ups for the show..cause i knew that the "fam"-base could take the comments out of context and thrash wendy and lisa. its such a sporting event for some..

3) Mike Elizondo's comments to Prince? Paraphrased, "nobody wants to follow Eric Clapton".....I wasnt there....But I highly doubt it was meant as a dis...Here's the deal with the Largo shows..it really was a family affair....its so intimite...the show's layout so relaxed that everyone felt comfortable sharing things and talking uncensored....Mike probably meant it as a joke....Mike rocks.....he is soo down to earth....and he is so on game right now in his career. i think he just felt comfortable and made the comment without even thinking about it.

4) Prince is orbiting his own planet right now....If and when he wants to work with wendy and lisa they've always said they would be there for him...prince seems to be at a artistic and personal crossroad. i get the impression that he is seeking out things to motivate him. maybe he was dissapointed by what the three did together earlier this year..or maybe he is afraid to share it because it was too emotionally raw.

whatever the case is, im more jonzed that wendy and lisa are back in the public's eye...its been a rough few years....but in the end, there is light.

NEW ALBUM GIRLS!!!

I have no idea. But both Prince and Wendy seem like VERY strong personalities so I'm sure it is just expected that they will clash throughout their relationship.

Well, after pondering this for a second or 2, I came up with this. Prince is a Gemini and Wendy is an aquarian. They work well together. Head strong. Opinionated. Prince already said Wendy was his favorite guitarist. Wendy has already stated that she still loves Prince. They have a love hate relationship. They are proud of the work they did with him, but its time to move on. They have been away from him longer than they were with him. But there is still alot of admiration for the man. Remember, Wendy was a wee lass when she started working with him. So to a point he still holds a special place in her heart. Wendy has stated "bygons".... Now Lisa, thats a horse of a different color.....

I assumed they have as well since Lisa usually goes along whatever Wendy does yet she supposed to be the oldest one but unlike Wendy and Prince the Lisa and Prince reconnection hasn't been official. So anyone knows....

hence a lot of what wendy does session-wise is sans lisa..

and it appears lisa has spent the bulk of the last few years dealing with her brother's death..unlike wendy, who needed to publically discuss jonathan's death...lisa needed time away before she found herself again. so i doubt she even allowed herself the time to deal with the "drama" that can come with dealing with prince in her life...

Anyway, speculating on the Prince thing is hard because all we get are tiny public smidgens of a relationship. Impossible to judge! Lisa has said nice things about Prince and vice versa, so I'd say their cool. Just because they haven't shown it to us, doesn't mean jack.

I understand that Lisa was away most of 2004 due to David's tragedic death and they probably made up privately. I sort of forgot about her time away as I be seeing Prince and Wendy all last year but no Lisa.

Personally I want to see Prince and Wendy and Lisa worked back together again but I will definately have no problem if the ladies do another album minus Prince!

It's one thing to get together and play some of the oldies at gigs but when it comes to writing and producing new music together, Prince would have to have things done his way and that is what would cause hard feelings.cause i'm guessing that W&L have gotten even more headstrong then they used to be. It's just my opinion though.

And plus Wendy and Lisa had been on their own longer than when they was with PRince and therefore they also used to doing things on their own. I agreed then that maybe best for them to perform together like having a reunion concert. But also that I want for the other members to join too.

Which I thought was cool, cause all the reports made it sound like he just came in, watched them, and then just left without saying a word to them. The Love is still there.
