From the UPTOWN web site:
John L. Nelson did release an album in 1994 entitled Father's Song. The album, which apparently was released on a small independent label in Minneapolis, does not contain any involvement from The Artist

i'm guessing it's waaaay out of print, and that it wasn't all that widely distributed to begin with. i'd be really interested in hearing it someday...

The John Nelson album is unbelievably dire.
The Mazarati album's OK; a few copies were released on CD/vinyl in Canada.

Now, this is sooo wrong on so many levels. If you didn't like the late Mr. Nelson's music that is one thang but to diss the departed is to bring about bad karma on yourself.Didn't your parents tell you that it is wrong to speak ill of the dead and you do know that he has passed on.No respect!!!

No, he doesn´t sing, but there is a woman doing some singing/speaking in the background.
Tracklist:

1.Yes Again
2.There´d Be No Way For You And I
3.As I Recall
4.Fallin´ Down

I really like this album, I don´t care if other people don´t like it , that´s their opinion...in fact, I´ve put it on right now and I´m listening to it while I´m typing this.

There´s no Prince involvement they say, but Yes Again sounds like it contains a sample of Prince´s voice ( the "Yes Again" phrase sounds like him).
Also, the bass on this EP sounds very much like Prince. Maybe it´s someone trying to sound like him, I don´t know...or maybe it is Prince.
I have no idea. But this is definitely not a bad album, I seriously like it, albeit it´s a bit short.

With all due respect to PurplePeopleEater´s opinion, I don´t understand how he can hate this album so much...

What exactly is it that you don´t like about it ? Especially considering that the man passed away and you call him tone deaf.

Rest in peace, Mr. John Nelson, and thanks for giving us Prince.

actually, i don't give a whit that the original poster doesn't care for john l. nelson's album - i just appreciate that the person posted a thread about it in the first place, because i'd never heard of the album before this, and now i have something new to hunt down! thumbs up!
