Phillip C the mystery keyboardist on Graffiti Bridge.

he was a hairdresser, picked 2 fill the part as prince didn't have a keyboard player at the time who could appear in the movie. p.c was considered 2 have the looks, thus given the part

That was dr.Fink's last album with Prince, I wonder why he didn't appear in the Movie.

You're right, Prince was almost a completely one-man show on graffiti bridge. Even more so than other albums.

From what I remember, Dr. Fink was busy programming the keyboards and getting ready for the Nude tour. One of the coolest thing that came out of it is Prince's grand piano, wasn't really a grand piano at all. He reinforced the body of it, so Prince could stand and dance on it, hollowed it out and placed a keyboard that was programmed with "piano sound" in place of the keys. Prince was very happy with the sound and the way he could climb on to the top of the grand.

I'm sure Fink wasn't too happy about not being in the movie since he was/is one of the longest Prince bandmates ever.

He was still at Paisley during G. Bridge, but he left after the Nude tour as I recall.
The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

From what I remember that was in the Rolling Stone article, or maybe it was in Keyboard magazine.

I think it was keyboard magazine. Definitely, Matt Fink worked on the programming and arrangements for the forthcoming Nude tour.

Was he disappointed about being left out of GB?

Er ... seems to me he was lucky not to have been associated wth the final product (despite him having been scheduled to be one of the original characters).

He also appears right at the start of the Partyman video.
