Very underated album. Not hyped much. What is your opinion on this album?

I even like the ballad "everlasting". Plus pop cuts "angel dont" and the bouncy "who's that girl" are top fun too.


I love it. Its morris' best album.

Sure, he ain't "on" that album much, but I love that era of pop and newjack. so thats why I love it.

This album shows how truly lame new jack swing was. Even Morris cant make it sound like anything. Its 90% crap and I love Morris - give me Color of Success anytime

Moiss is my cat, I like his other two albums but "Guaranteed" just sucks, maybe he was trying to get away from the "cool" thing with the different look and haircut and different producers, it didnt work

I hadn't thought about new jack but that would be a good description of the album. It's not a typical sounding album that people would expect to hear coming from Morris Day, which was my disappointment.

I totally agree. I remember when the album first came out and he went on "Video Soul" to promote it. He told Donnie Simpson that, on this album, he totally got rid of any "Minneapolis Connections" on this album and it definately sounds it.

If in order of greatness, i'd put

Gauranteed
daydreaming
color of sucsess

Though all are very strong albums. "daydreaming" just gets beaten. I love virtually all the cuts, in particular "fishnet" "love is a game", even "sally" is a cute lil' pop song.

Morris on guaranteed does seem to be going through the motions somewhat. But bernard belle beleived in him though. He seems more exited on the album then morris does. Morris only co-writes on gauranteed, unlike his other albums.
