So in this dream I am standing in an elevator with Muse. We are both ogling this fella in the elevator mirror and he is aware of this. He frowns, I smile. He smiles back, then gets off the elevator.

I bump myself in the head for not saying anything, but I don't care; we are on our way to the Minneapolis Invasion! We head off to this rather brown cafe/restaurant. It is amazing!
Darin is there! Denny is there! Karen is there! Carrie is there! Ian is there! Toni! Tracy! Nathan! The entire lot! It is weeeeeird, but fun.

Then I need to pee. I am a bit drunk. The boys toilet is mucky and i don't feel like I wanna face mucky in the face, so I hop to the ladies.
I do my biz, (sitting down, I know how to behave in ladies toilets) and then go to wash my hands. Then all of a sudden Wendy Melvoin stands next to me, saying; "You should not be here!"

I just smirk at here, cuz I loooove Wendy and I realise to her I am just a guy in the ladies toilet. But then I remember I am Evil Vixen as well and tell her the ladies here have nothing to fear from ME, stretching the "me" and raising my eyebrow at her.

I hop back to the party and sit down next to Toni and Karen and we gossip about cute boys, then I get tapped on the shoulder. It's Wendy again! She is telling me she was sorry for being bitchy and offers me a beer! I say how swell and tell her I love her and then introduce her to the group. ("Group; meet Wedny, Wendy; this is the group!") and everybody waves and I rant on how about she should stop sitting in bars and get her ass to the studio cuz five years between albums is not good. She laughs, then goes away again.

Very quickly she returns, telling me to follow her. She leads me into this backroom and there is sitting the entire Revolution! Lisa! Bobby! Brownmark! Dr Fink! They sit around a table, looking bored and eating pretzels. She introduces me, but everybody is a bit down.

Then Wendy says; "Oh, and that's Prince." while pointing behind me. Prince is standing behind the door. I just say "Hi Prince!" and turn back to the band and tell them how their music influenced me.
Then all of a sudden I get irritated. I tell them I will be right back and walk to Karen to ask her her cellphonenumber.

I then return to the backroom and tell Wendy I think they are all wanka's (Invasion-style) for sitting in a backroom eating pretzels instead of hiring First Avenue and jam. I give Wendy Karen's number and tell her to give me a ring on that phone number if they decide to have some fun. Then I tell them I will be out there having fun with my friends and that I now want a beer. Bobby Z lights up at hearing the word 'beer'.

I then walk back into the cafe and order a beer and sit next to Karen again, who ask me what that was all about. Then Darin and Ian sitting opposite of me start to ogle at sumthing behind me. I say "Don't tell me Prince is standing behind me."

And guess what; Prince is standing behind me... he says; "First Avenue, in three hours. Deal?" I say; only if I can bring allll my friends and they can bring guests. Prince frowns, but then smiles and says "kewl". He says; and oh, go ahead, post on Org if you want to. Let's make it a party!" then leaves!
Wendy walks up to us and is really excited! She tells me Prince just veto'd a reunion before I walked in! I then get to tell everyone we are going to the Prince & The Revolution reunion concert and everybody runs off to computers to post on org! hehehe. True Orgers.

We have a roll call; who is calling Anxiety? Where does Colin live? Tell Nikki to get in her car NOW!
But all I can think of is that cute guy in the elevator. I should have said something!

So I go call the hotel and ask for the earl of Pembroke, cuz that's the guy in the elevator, but the clerk won't let me through, so I talk and talk and then he puts me through!
Then the Earl Of Pembroke does not believe me! He says; Prince would never do a thing like that! I tell him he will and that he will miss out on it if he does not come! I also tell him that IF he comes over and Prince DOES play, he has to enter First Avenue while holding my hand. Hehehe. I get cheeky when drunk. The earl just laughs...

So we arrive at First Avenue and everybody is jumping! There are huge crowds and everybody is ushered in, except me, I am waiting for the earl. LoL

He finally comes and we walk in, hand in hand. We then get ushered backstage, but are stopped by a bodyguard, who says that only I can go backstage, but I tell him he's crazy, I ain't letting go off that hand! Then Wendy comes and says it's okay.

It's the dressingroom from Pruple Rain. I walk in. Prince is drinking pepsi (serious), but I refuse to enter. I say something is wrong, everybody looks up like; what is wrong? I say; "Prince should be pouting in front of a mirror holding a sock puppet" and everybody laughs.

Prince asks what songs I want them to play and I say Databank, Baby I'm A Star and Moonbeam Levels, at which Prince frowns. Then he says okay and wants to know if we want to be to the side of the stage and I say no. I want to be in the audience with Karen and Toni. He looks at me like I am weird.

But Will and I just jump off stage and join the crowd.

Then Prince & The Revolution come on....they play Baby, I'm A Star, I would Die 4 U, Mountains and do a mad long version of New Position, which is something I asked for too, but only now remember. Then he plays Moonbeam Levels and we all cuddle Ian and we all cry.

Then we are outside First Avenue and Prince's limo pulls up and says, hey wanna come to Paisley Park for a tour tomorrow? And then says, you want to bring ALL your friends again, don't you? I just nod and Prince promises to arrange a bus then.

That's when I kinda woke up cuz I was so excited, hehehe

How weird are my dreams, huh?

God, I wonder what I would dream about if I use drugs...

Anyways. This dream is in this forum cuz it is about Wendy Melvoin alot. People are often very bitchy about her, but she was really nice in my dream.

I love her lots. Her music means alot to me.

I also remember asking Prince if he still remembered the words to Databank and he looked a bit upset before saying OF COURSE, then saw a Prince aide download the lyrics from the DTT-site, looking very nervous, hheheh.

And the elevator music was Joni Mitchell's Help Me...

Thing is, most my dreams are life like... this dream was... I was SO excited for having seen Prince & The Revolution jam on New Position (ow, okay AND holding Will Herbert's hand all the time) that I could not sleep anymore!

Excellent.... We did see a great concert opening night of this LA Invasion ... Prince ran in but did not perform and Wendy and Lisa were already off stage before we could get in the keyclub. I also love their body of work!

Anyhoo, it sounds like a great dream and a great reunion concert. Listening to Family Jamm for the last few days inspired me to add a Wendy quote from the first Revolution reunion. We all keep praying for the next.

I sooo sooo sooooo wish you could have been here for some of the Largo shows. We need to get you to L.A., Mr. Hamster.
