See Wendy & Lisa w/ Doyle Bramhall II, at Largo Through Aug 17th (excluding aug 3rd).
It is a colaborative effort between the artists and musicians including Abe Laboriel Jr (drums), and Mike Elizondo (bass). taken from Wendyandlisa.com http://www.prince.org/msg/5/150867 Space for sale...

Wow...Abe Laboriel is an AMAZING Samoan drummer who I saw in the Paul McCartney band. These sound like fantastic shows! Come on, L.A. orgers, bring your Mini-Discs and/or DATs and make us proud! Occupy Alphabet Street!

Mike Elizondo is a MONSTER on bass...he broke out on Dr. Dre's "Chronic 2001" album and he's played bass and co-written some of the phattest hits of the last few years, including 50 Cent's "In Da Club," Mary J. Blige's "Family Affair" and the last three Eminem albums! Serious bass chops for sure...
These shows are gonna be epic!!

Has anyone been able to actually meet and talk to Wendy and Lisa at any shows they have done. If so how were they, were they nice and approachable or was it one of those don't dare say anything to them situations. Just wondering I would not want to be the person to approach them and get crushed. Please let me know if anyone knows any info. THANK YOU Loves

many many crazy folks have approached and been pleased by how pleasant they are..myself included. they are normal people....and are more then happy to chat with fans..just dont get all emotional and start crying or fainting..that sorta turns them off..well, not turn off..more like freak em out...so just be yourself and they will probably chat with you if they have the time... Ok cool one last question if you can help, I have an old Rolling Stones Magazine with them on the cover.from 1986 do you think it would be a bit extreme for me to ask them to possibly sign it for me. That is like the oldest thing I have in my collection right now and the magazine is still in really good condition. [Edited 8/18/05 23:35pm]

under the right conditions im sure they would..they were signing stuff during their Apple Show..
keep in mind i dont represent them or speak on their behalf..im just a nutter fan who follows them around..(and always at a distance)... Space for sale...

terinkydink said: Alright thank you so much. Hopefully it all works out, this will be the first time I get to see them, I think they are very talented musically. Also I am so glad my dad has gotten me into other music besides my generations music. So much good stuff I am now going back listening to or as he like to put it taking a music journey back.

I met them in 1994 at the Folk Festival at UCLA with Jni Mitchell. I talked to them about Seal's debut album they worked on and they even asked who I was there to see. I got their autographs, still have it. We didnt talk about Prince. They were so cool! ______________________________________________

awesome show..truly was a "collaborative" event with each person taking center stage at one point or another...
guess who stole the show? Susannah of all people..She tore the house down with three solo numbers....Second best set? Abe? Abe? Who knew the passion this guy has...His facial expressions alone were worth the ticket price...and Tweet? What a fuckin song.... Man has this guy come a long way from the W&L Roxy show...Back then he was quiet and reserved...Last night he let it all hang out.....Gone was the excited gosh darn it kid who got to play with his idols...Last night he was an equal. W&L songs played: Staring At The Sun Mother Of Pearl Reaching One I've Got A Big Bowl of Cherries and Rasberry Beret? Wendy took that song to and made it her own....I'll let someone else go into her comments on Prince.....And Abe provided the obligitory "aewwww" which barely anyone noticed but had grlbros and i laughing a bit too loud for such an intiment venue... Doyle busted out with a couple new songs and ended the show with Chariott...And man if you havent heard this man play, do it...He is one of the best guitarist alive...Dare I say better then Prince? Yes..... Great show..hopefully someone else will post the entire set list.....Cant wait for the next one... Space for sale...
