Last night I saw Har Mar Superstar headline a big free outdoor block party by a pizza place called Pizza Luce in the Uptown Minneapolis area. It is only about 4 blocks from my house! Anyway I've seen Har Mar a couple of times once with a british bass player and drummer and once with just backing tapes. I was delightfully surprised when on stage who should appear but not only Michael Bland (who has worked with Har Mar before, he is on the latest CD) but also Sonny Thompson!! They were having FUN too! Lotsa smiles! Man Sonny can play the bass (cool gold sparkly one last night) and Michael...well you know! Har Mar said he had just met Sonny that day so if that is true he was doing well with the material, Michael occaisionally would give him litle cues and stuff. Har Mar kept saying "Man I love these guys. This is such a treat to be playing with them!" Sonny has a cool short dreadlock thing going with his hair now. Anyway, fun times!

Last time I heard from Michael a friend of mine told me he´d lost weight and is no longer as big as he used to be...any truth to that ?
