Question about tracklist for Vanity 6 album I think I know the "right" answer, but need expert confirmation. I have been on the prowl for a Vanity 6 CD and have noticed a few that list the songs in this order:
3 x 2 = 6 Bite The Beat Drive Me Wild He's So Dull If A Girl Answers (Don't Hang Up) Make-Up Nasty Girl Wet Dream However, I thought the track list was this: Nasty Girl Wet Dream Drive Me Wild He's So Dull If a Girl Answers (Don't Hang Up) Make-Up Bite the Beat 3 X 2 = 6 is the first track list a signal of a fake album, or are there two different track lists? Thanks! The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I can't imagine a Vanity 6 CD that opens with the awful ballad "3X2=6"

And see Dave, I have always liked "3x2=6". It reminds me of "Free". SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

The first list is in alphabetical order perhaps that's why you've seen it listed like that if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron

interesting point. but why would someone go to the effort of rearranging the tracks into alphabetical order? The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. interesting point. but why would someone go to the effort of rearranging the tracks into alphabetical order? maybe because those are the only songs officially released by Vanity6 as a group, and so the songs got alphabetized somewhere, at some time, for whatever reason, and then other people just copied/cut&pasted that alphabetized list, etc..? I don't know. but alphabetizing 8 songs really doesn't take much effort anyway.

On Roxio CD Creator, when you insert songs to be copied onto a disc they are put into alphabetical order. Then you have to rearrange them. Whoever made the copy probably didn't bother to do that or doesn't know the real tracklisting.

And see Dave, I have always liked "3x2=6". It reminds me of "Free". TOTALLY. It's the seeds that grew into Purple Rain. Just took some time and tinkering to get it right. http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista
