I'm surprised to see how many Prince fans dislike Mayte! Why? How can anyone seriously dislike this beautiful, talented, sweet woman? Just because they are divorced? I don't get it.

I love Mayte to, but dont like Mani I think she up to no good! For some reason I realy miss the two of them togather, I think Mayte was the one love of prince's life I think the realationship with Mayte taught him how to realy love someone. Do any of you think they will ever end up togather agian? Or what do you think realy happend between them, I think it was alot more than just Mani comeing in to the picture, I do think that it was the last straw for them by that time anyway.

Mayte is cool. I have more of a issue with Prince going after such a young woman in the beginning.

Mani is stanky. No matter what is going on in a marriage, ya let it be.

Mayte is a sweetheart. She comes across to me as down to earth, laidback, and fun. I am very happy to see her moving forward with her various endeavors. She has a wonderful energy about her and from all known accounts, I can't recall what she ever did to rub Prince fans the wrong way besides become such a focal point to his life when they were together. But shoot, I don't blame him for it at all. She's quite worth it I think.

And you are right about Nona and Mayte triangle as well. That fact has sort of tempered my sympathy for Mayte because she too knew what she was getting into when she got in the mix.
I think what is so bad about Mayte is, her suffering was so public. The baby, the announcement of annullment... the whole Tora Tora period. She was dogged in such a public way after being placed on such a high pedestal, once again in such a public way.
All the other romantic entanglements were done away from public eye and would not be known in the general public unless the women themselves tell the stories.
Mayte's was part of a PR campaign... as is Mani being part of a PR. Prince talks about how this time love is true, he is true becuase this woman is this and that. Then he cheats on her, it is all out in public also. Look at the blurb about "the dimunitive rocker who is cheating while his wife is keeping the home fires burning" ...very public humiliation. In Mayte's case, Mani was part of that public humiliation.

MAyte is my fav Prince bird by miles. I can watch her dance all day. Sure she broke up tony m and Prince but dont hate her for that.

Prince was pretty odd with her though. Fair enough, he waited untill she was 18 to fuck her, but she was in the band a few years prior to that, and Prince was clearly fucking carmen even though he said he loved mayte (proberly). He proberly banged martika and d and p too whilst wating for mayte to turn 18.

Mayte is stunning though. She also looked really innocent even with her bootiful ass wiggling skills. She looked virginal, which I guess Prince loved.

Then they had that horrible incident with the baby, and he turned his back on her. AND MAYTE GETS THE BLAME FROM JEALOUS FANS!!!

Fans get crazy and feel they have a right to comment on someones private life especially when you broadcast things as being so perfect. the fact is that being just a friend to someone that is famous has it's costs.
