If you cheat on or leave your girlfriend that's one thing, but if you cheat on or leave your wife that's another!!! And before anyone jumps down my throat about this, the bottom line is dating/living together/whatever, all I'm saying is by doing that you still haven't gone the next step and taken vows before God to spend the rest of your days with someone and be faithful to them. (Again I appreciate that there will be people out there that don't think having a bit of signed paper is any indication that a relationship is any tighter than without it - i'm not married, but I'm happily devoted - but I'm just looking at this in the context of Prince - someone who by all accounts does beleive in his faith, and therefore should be respecting the vows he has taken)

I'm not saying that it's a good idea to be unfaithful, and I'm definitly not saying that there aren't any unmarried couple's out there who aren't as much or more devoted to one another than those that are married. All i'm saying is, if you are gonna put that ring on someones finger and make those vows you should be damn sure about it, cos it's meant to be forever, not just until you get bored!

Lets face it, if a person turns their back on a long term relationship people just think, "oh well it never worked out", but when a marriage breaks down for some reason people start looking to lay blame. You think i'm being melodramatic? Take a look back at the extortionate number of threads that have been on the org discussing who is to blame for Prince and Mayte, Prince and Mani splitting, and why do people discuss these break-ups the most? Cos he married them, so in theory he was meant to be the most committed to them.

i heard mani dumped prince because he fell in love with angelina jolie during the filming of their movie 'mr and mrs smith'. apparently after the break up prince accompanied angelina to ethiopia where the two of them adopted sixty children, of different ages, to live in the egg-shaped building near paisley park.

Just because Prince and Mani aren't together 24/7 and choose to sometimes hang out with friends at different parties and other events doesn't necessarily mean that they are having problems or have broken up. To the contrary, this rather proves that they are so secure in their relationship with eachother that they don't mind giving eachother space once in a while. I think this is the sign of a healthy relationship. I met Mani at Nikka Costa's afterparty on May 24th in LA. She was there with Nikka, Susannah, Wendy & Lisa - it seemed like they were just having a girls night out while Prince partied with Lenny and Stevie in Las Vegas! What's wrong with that?
