Me and Mayte happen to be as close as family so chill. As far as her not having a great resume, have you ever performed with one of the pickiest musicians on the planet? Prince seen something in her, and now the world is going to also. Watch across the hall and you can see she got a great personality to go along with her being so damn hot. Hmmm Mayte!

Extremely beautiful and one of the most talented dancers I've ever seen (i've been dancing since I was six and I've been studying dance styles for years so I feel I'm relatively qualified to judge). As for the singing, I'd say she has an average voice, (lets face it we all know that Prince does have the ability to take a pretty rubbish singer and somehow manage to get her to produce a satisfactory vocal recording - Apples!) but I did like some of the stuff on the Child of the Sun album although I felt sometimes her voice sounded a bit "synthetic".

Anyhow, her acting I cannot yet judge as I haven't witnessed it myself, apart from the minimal bits way back in the o+> video (which weren't the best, but I guess she was very young!). I hope she does make it big, but there is A LOT of competition out there, and getting most of your kit off for the lads mags isn't always enough, cos there are loads of those women out there! May be that's why she had the implants?

Yes, she DEFINITLY had the implants in my opinion. As I have indicated on a previous thread, I am short and very slim but I am blessed/cursed with a couple of natural oversized melons on the front of me (not good when you need to run!), and let me tell you my weight has gone up and down over the years, but they have never vanished and then re-appeared. Plus, there are some pics on Mayte.com (I checked out the site after all the speculation about the implants) and in one she is quite amazingly defying gravity in a strapless dress. Big or small I don't know of any REAL pairs that are that round and stand to attention like that without the aid of straps. My guess is she was probably advised to have them done prior to the Bollywood thing. I have a friend in the UK who has an agent and has been in some Bollywood films, and she was advised to do exactly the same thing as the basic rule in Bollywood is that you just won't cut it if you ain't got nothing up top. But what's my friend ended up doing since the implants and the Bollywood films?....lads mags! It's so hard to be taken seriously when you ain't wearing many clothes!

I'm guessing that that is probably Mayte's decision. Obviously the Prince connection is a way of marketing herself so she isn't going to completely cast it aside, but I guess that doesn't mean that she wants to be forever associated with him as his former Mrs.

I know that here in the UK apart from Prince fans NO-ONE has a clue who she is. Most of the people I've worked with haven't even known that Prince has been married at all let alone to who!! So if she just markets herself as a former dancer etc, i'm guessing there are a whole lot of people who will never suspect she was anything more, so from her point of view why bother to mention it when it's over? Most of us who've worked with people we've had relationships with don't broadcast that failed relationship at our next job interview, instead we just say "we worked with them" so I assume it's kinda the same thing.

I didn't realise that, I thought it might be just a UK thing but obviously not! At the end of the day Prince is a relativly private person, so if he isn't in the press day in day out with his latest squeeze on his arm, people won't really get to know who she is. Plus, (and again I don't know if this is just a UK thing or not) over here, people who are not a fan of him just tend to dismiss him and think he's weird and they are not remotely interested in him, his music or who he's dating/married to.
