Vanity 6's 'Nasty Girl' Set To Be A Massive UK Hit For Inaya Day Now on The Box and Hits channels and Scott Mills' Record of the Week on Radio One - this is one of the biggest dance anthems of the summer!!! "Nasty Girl" is a Prince song which was originally recorded by a girl group championed by Prince back in 1980's called Vanity 6. Now Inaya Day's remake is licensed exclusively in the UK to Adhesive a new funky label that has some of the biggest tracks coming through including Milk & Sugar, Richard F, Mirabeau and Chosen Few v Tears For Fears. There is a brand new remix package on Nasty Girl which includes a fantastic mix by Riffs & Rays that has a real authentic disco feel to it – coupled with Inaya’s fabulous vocals this looks set to be a huge commercial hit as well as the massive club smash it already is. Whilst Inaya is relatively unknown in the UK she has a great background, she was the vocalist on Mousse T’s “Horny” - she has also recorded vocals for Michael Jackson, Al Green, Sean ”Puffy” Coombs, Mc Lyte, Queen Latifah, Moni Love, Big Daddy Kane and Jonathan Butler to name but a few. In addition, Inaya also hit the UK top 40 guesting on Harry “Choo Choo” Romero’s hit Just Can’t Get Enough in 1999 and had a solo single, Feel It, on Positiva in 2000. Nasty Girl is due for release on 11 July when Inaya will have her first big hit in the UK!!!

Very faithful to the original, in terms of vocal arrangements and delivery - one of the better covers I've heard in a while...

It's definitely HOT! I got my double 12" from dancerecords.com and can't stop playing it.
(Except for when I got to bed, of course.) It is hot and sounds just like the original, only faster and sassier! Get your groove on and turn it up!!!!!

I actually watched the performance on totp's and wondered why it was so familiar, can't beleive i couldn't place it! Sounded good but haven't heard the original enough to compare. I love your face, your smile, your eyes,
Damn- I'm good at telling lies! What inspired this amorous rhyme? Two parts vodka, one part lime.
