My point was I don't think anybody of ANY race should be telling somone who they should and shouldn't date just because that person is of a different race. I guess I am the product of a bi-racial couple and remember the situations my parents experienced and I really have a respect for people who choose to take on the difficulty of having an interracial relationship. I remember when Spike Lee wrote that letter to Prince about how he should have more than just white and latina women in his videos. I was offended by that and I think Prince should have been offended by that as well. So Prince wants white and Latina women in his videos. That is HIS choice. For whatever reason that is what he wanted and I think we should just accept it. I always felt like Violet the Organ Grinder video was a response to that Spike Lee thing. That was a time when I felt Prince compromised to satisfy someone. My point is it doesn't matter if the woman was black, white. latina or asian or Vanity, Cat, Diamond and Pearl, Mayte...they all looked hot with Prince and they were all of different colors.
