Rosie Gaines.. MP3's on her site!

http://www.rosiegaines.com/studio.html

Looks like Rosie is selling her COMPLETE discography on MP3.

What I find most interesting is an unreleased 1994 album entitled, "Try Me".
Is this the unreleased Paisley Park album?
It does include the orriginal "Hit U In The Socket"

Is there anyone here that can weed out the Prince tracks from the rest? smile

Do check it out.

I heard of it as a song co-written by Ingrid Chavez, it was a while ago, i'm not 2 sure.

Does someone here has the Vault book, & aren't the Prince involved tracks indicated in the book ?

Or not ?

I mean, someone MUST know wink

There is a lyric section that has Some of the lyrics and Some writing credits...let's go by that for the moment.
http://www.rosiegaines.com/Lyrics.html

Try Me - Unreleased 1994 Album

1. Try Me (R.Gaines)
2. B.I.T.C.H. (uncredited)
3. In The Middle Of A Garden (Uncredited)
4. Ooh La La (Music and Lyrics by Rosie Gaines)
5. Hit U In The Socket (Uncredited, but lyrics are in Prince Ebonics)
6. Lost In The Wilderness (Uncredited)
7. Do What You Wanna Do (written by Rosie Gaines, Francis Jules & Francis Richardson)
8. Swing Hard (R.Gaines/D. Bailey)
9. Crazy Mutha Funky (Uncredited)
10. The Greatest Touch (Uncredited)
11. Play That Beat (Uncredited)
12. Jah Love (Uncredited)
13. The People Of Today (Uncredited)
14. Everything I Do (I Do It For You) (B. Adams/M. Kamen/R.J. Lange) - This of course is a cover of the Bryan Adams song.

So its narrowed down to the uncredited songs (yet you know as well a I do..sometimes Prince DOESN'T take writing credit..and more often, Doesn't give credit to others..LOL).....yet..none of those lyrics are in Prince Ebonics...such as "Hit U In The Socket" Is.
She doesn't include any publishing info either example ;: (Controvesy Music, Emancipated Music, NPG Music)...ect...so its really hard to pinpoint.

Later if I can find that link again for ASCAP...is that what I'm thinking of? we can try looking at that for further info.

As far as the songs WE know he's involved....

I Want U (uncredited)
My Tender Heart (Music and Lyrics by Rosie Gaines and Prince)

So its still a guessing game.

I eventually send this e-mail 2 Brian Hale, the site's webmaster. I'll let u know if i'm getting an answer.

"Dear Mr. Hale,

First i want 2 congratulate the site 4 all this music 4 sale. Though, a question is on every Prince fans'lips since u released all the stuff : in which tracks was Prince involved (b it as a composer, arranger, producer, or playing musician) ?

It would b a GREAT addition 2 the site 2 give these infos, since most Prince fans actually hesitate 2 buy songs, not knowing which ones really interest them. Of course this is not 2 mean that Rosie's other works r of no interest, just that not all of us have lots of money, so we'd like 2 buy the songs that contain a Prince involvement, in priority 2 other tracks.

I thank u in advance if there is anything u can do in order 2 help us on this. I'm sure it would benefit the mp3's sales as much as it would satisfy both Rosie & Prince fans. Please let us know

Peace"
