Okay, so before I rant, I must say I don't know all the circumstances around this but here it goes:

Tonight in Omaha, Morris Day and the Time performed. It was a 'special performance' after an arena football game. The game ends and the PA says the show will begin in approximately 20 minutes. More like 90 minutes. Damn, what a long wait! I can't help but wonder if the only reason for the delay was that Morris couldn't get his hair just right.

Despite the excruciating wait, the show was nothing short of fabulous. That band is SO tight! Morris and Jerome can crack anyone up. They jammed all night long, only slowing it down for 'Gigalos Get Lonely Too.' I was in the very front and had a blast. I'd recommend seeing them, but don't count on Morris knowing how to tell time.

yeah for a group called the Time they almost NEVER start on Time, but after the show starts you forget about that.

One of the best shows a person will ever see is a performance by The Time. They're worth any wait.

Y'all have to remember that most of the band lives in seperate cities now & have to fly in seperately for shows. If someone's flight gets delayed & they're being flown in the morning of the show, it can sometimes be problematic. Also, YES, they are worth the wait ten times (pun intended) over!

I've never been to a Time concert but... they just don't do it like Prince. I can't really feel the time. What does Morris do but think he's cool on stage.. He don't play no damn instruments.

They are great live, I have several DVD's with performances by The Time and it does kick ass!

Funny, I thought the title to this thread had to do with the fact that The Time hardly every play anything outside of their early 80s jams. Anyway, they be a whole heck of a lot of fun to watch, if you don't mind stepping back in time for a bit. And Jesse's presence would make the show a whole lot betta!
