this ebay buying of out of print Prince proteges is getting expensive!

I just paid $60 for an original copy of Vanity 6 and about $50 for Jill Jones. Am I out of my mind!

Next I'm out for a copy of The Family. But I just found a copy of the Girl 6 soundtrack with The Screams Of Passion on it. That should tide me over I guess.

Would you all do this?

$60 for Vanity 6 is a bit much, especially seeing as there are so many floating around. I think I paid $30 a couple of months back. $50 for Jill Jones is good - usually gets nearer $100 (although I got one for $45 a few months ago). The Family is the last one I need, but I've not seen one under $100 for a long time, so I'll wait.

Yeah. And then immediately come to regret it when you realise the vinyl is all scratchy lol

It is getting out of control.

Why is it I can't even find used vinyl or cassette of Jill Jones?

Did her album flop that hard?

It did - and while it is good, it is overrated. Those two facts contribute to there being a limtied supply in the first place and the few out there being snatched up quickly and held. I bought mine on CD for $8 about 12 years ago and havent let it go since.

Are you looking for CD or vinyl? You can find vinyl at used record stores for very decent prices.

I was assuming we are talking about cds - vinyl really isn't worth anything. I've got all the proteges on vinyl, and you can still pick them up (even on eBay) really cheap.
BTW - thesexofit - £3 is about $5.50.

I've got a vinyl copy for sale on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eB...eName=WDVW

I'm also currently selling many other Paisley Park records. Now that I have them on CD, I don't need the records anymore.

YOU GUYS ARE CRAZY!!! *lol*
There's tons of Prince/Prince related artist rarities available through KNOW NAME RECORDS (which is based in Minneapolis!) that will actually charge you half decent prices and offer you other stuff which is lesser known.

Have fun- tell 'em you heard about it through Prince.org & you might find yourself a deal!
