biggrin OK, just don't sell anything that you haven't already replaced on CD. I don't want to see you in a used record store a few years from now trying to get back your own records. Remember this.....

I want my daddy's records.....

eek Oh don't you dare. I wouldn't take anything for my records. You better get you a turntable instead and pull out those stacks of wax because you'll be waiting around a long time for a lot of the good stuff to be released on CD. You'll wish you had not sold your records then.

You said it Andy. I've got my turntable right here and I'll NEVER give up the vinyl.

lol
I keep saying I am going to get a turntable. I have all the Teena Marie albums up to Emerald City along with a few others, SOS Band, Cherrell, Alexander Oneal, Brick, Bar Kays, Lakeside, Rolls Royce...
I have moved about 5 times in the last 18 years, and I just keep packing up the vinyls and moving them to the new place to store in the basement.
One day, I WILL buy a turntable. biggrin

Sounds like we've got a lot of the same collection. biggrin

Hell, I've got two turntables with pitch control, two CD players with pitch control, and a mixer. That way, I can keep my ass shakin' non-stop. biggrin My vinyl with be with me until the day I die and I've got one person in mind to leave it to when I'm gone. I'll never tell that person though, I might be mysteriously knocked off tomorrow. lol

The question should be is Prince on GOOD terms with anybody? lol lol lol

Clive Davis? Undecided
Mayte? Yes (he loves her like a baby sister) and No (because she cheated on him first)
Jesse Johnson? No (Prince still fears him?!?)
Rick James? Yes (at least Rick like Musicology!!!)
Wendy Melvoin? Yes
Lisa Coleman? Undecided
Alexander O'Neal? Yes (Alexander confirm this in a 2004 interview)
Rosie Gaines? No (Prince still owe her more money?)
The WB Music Group? No (they still have the master tapes!!!)

...am I missing anyone else???
[Edited 4/25/05 12:56pm]

I don't know, but this is a little unsettling. I have read in interview that Mayte said Prince was old school in the bedroom, and I have also heard something before that Mayte was a little put off that Prince was not as sexual as she expected or desired... like he was getting too tame for her taste. It makes me wonder if maybe she did step out first, especially if he was connecting to another woman, Mani, (maybe not realizing it was a more spiritual connection) and just maybe wanted to strike back
. What is unsettling is I was always taught that the ones that brag the most about sex, has had the least. eek

Maybe Prince threatened Cat in real life like he did in Bob George and she joined the witness protection group. That would explain why she's seemed to have dissapeared off the face of the earth!

I think he may be on bad terms with Jill Jones. Because in interviews I've seem (tho dated) make i seem like Jill was mad that He never called when her uncle (p's old hair dresser) passed. Seems like baad blood between them. dont know about now tho.

Jill was really pissed with her small role in 'Graffiti Bridge'.I heard that she was on a plane to Minneapolis, reading the final script and she got pissed, tore it up and threw it around the plane lol

Where have you been? I guess you haven't heard about Housequake... not the song, the fan site. And all the people who ran very small and personal fan sites getting sued (off the net) in the past by Prince's legal team. Some of it was deserved... people broadcasting (sharing) bootleg material. Some of it was done I believe in the same attitude as taking that fan's camera at the airport.
And no one burned their CD's. Not even me, and I was SUPER pissed about HQ's latest tangle with P's atty.
The fear of coming under P's heavy hand is so prevalent at HQ, that there is not one thread about the Panama video, the rumors, the questions about the pics taken in Panama. Even threads like this "IS Prince on bad terms with anybody?" is absent on the HQ. I think it is because they don't want to get P's legal team riled up. Prince.org has been able to steer clear of the scrutiny, and that is why such we can still have interesting topics like this one.

I've always loved the fact that he's so mean. As feminine as he has looked, from day one, it shows people he is not one to be fucked with. If gay men followed his lead and became "mean", a lot of this discrimination bullshit would stop.

Prince does take it a little to the extreme though. He's mean to associates that he has no reason to be mean with.

I'm sure Madonna, Little Richard, Elvis Costello, St. Paul, Tommy B., Sonny T., Michael B., Levi Seacer Jr., Rosie Gaines, Andre Cymone, Nona Gaye, Jill Jones, Tony M., Greg Brooks, Wally, Cat, Miko, the good ppl at Warner Bros., Mayte, Dez Dickerson, maybe Lisa Coleman, a small or large majority of his fanbase don't consider Prince their favorite person in the world right now. lol

Brooks and Wally were, for lack of a better term "dancers" for Prince on the 86,97 tours.

I heard a rumor from someone else connected with the Prince camp that due to his new religious beliefs, Prince has recently started to make up with some of the people he hurt in the past. I can see that happening. So maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing to meet Prince these days. smile

That is very cool because rather he likes or not he is going to have to face his past. And hopefully his next album is going to involved some old friends wink wink

Sonny T and Michael B recorded some soings with Prince at PP only a few months ago.

However there is no word on whether they will be released.

Michael B has been on reasonable terms with Prince since 1999. He appears on 'Baby Knows'.

It's mostly speculation.

AND (a BIG and) we have only heard one side of the story since Prince has never spoken on it.
