Does Larry has anything to do with TCR?

Ya all:
Inspite of all the dissing,
I have a feeling that Larry Graham had quite an input into the music of TCR?

can anybody comment on that ?

Larry played bass on TRC. The reason he lasts is that he is a legend. As a musician, he matters. He is a part of Rock n Roll History and is in the Hall of Fame. The way the bass is played in funk and rock today was practically invented by Larry. Mayte and Apollonia can not claim either so they had their moment of fame as Prince chicks and they are gone - like all Prince chicks. eek

And even if it was positive, Larry still remains an incredibly annoying person.

...and a conservative!!!

Face it: Larry has no love or respect for people who are different (especially in religions outside of the JW's & sexual preferences).

What is the influence he is supposed to have and why is it not positive? What is so wrong with Prince that people come to the conclusion that it is Larry's fault. If Prince is in a better spiritual place with his beliefs and is still doing his music, what is wrong with that? I just dont understand. Is it thast people want him to keep cursing and using sexual themes in his shows? He's damn near 50. I heard him make a point in an interview that when he cursed it was cool - now that everyone curses it is not cool anymore so he doesnt do it. Time changes people - even Prince.

I'm saying nod It just tells me that those who bash Larry ain't half as funky as they claim to be. Outside of their knowledge of his work with Sly I bet not one could name the title of a GCS album outside of GCS2000 (which ain't a "real" GCS album)

Well I don't dislike Larry for his bass playing...actually he is quite funky and I do enjoy his playing...I just don't like his JW influence on Prince...although I'm sure he didn't neccesarily introduce Prince to the religion..but he is encoraging this dependance on religion that Prince has.

What did you? What kind of stupid question is that? I'm not allowed to give an opinion on the way he acts cause of his musical accomplishments? rolleyes

Certain ppl, you find annoying. I find Larry annoying, and it has nothing to do with Prince.

y'know did yall EVER think that prince is a GROWN ASS MAN?
yea folks can suggest, but unless larry put a gun 2 princes head i think the choices were all princes.
besides, hes been on the spiritual path 4 a while, and now that he's found what he considers truth, why not let him have it?
there comes a time when u gotta say to hell w/everyone else i gotta save MY soul and be the best person I can be. and if prince feels this is the way, so be it. but don't lump it all on larry, cuz @ the end of the day its princes choice
Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...
...And i'm gonna be groovy in it!
