She has a great solo CD and now lives in Boise, Idaho and she was a keyboardist in Prince's first touring band. Gayle Chapman recently stopped by the "Upper Room with Joe Kelley & Gi Dussault" studios for an in-depth interview and music special. Gayle talks about the making of her self-titled album, her upcoming projects, her band audition at Prince's house with Andre, Bobby and Dez and Prince, and the tours with Prince and Rick James. Gayle also tells us if he is still in contact with her former bandmates.

Gayle Teaches:
Voice instruction and coaching

Beginning piano


Classes are:
Monday thru Thursday
11:00am til 8:00pm.
$25 for half hour lessons
$35 for an hour


Group lessons of more than 2 people are not available.
Prices for 2 people per hour lessons are $45.
Group lessons are only available in hour time slots.
On a four week month they will pay
$100, $140, and $180 (divided by 2)
On a 5 week month they can expect to pay
$125, $175, and $225 (divided by 2)


Students will make a month to month commitment and
be charged for each month in advance.
This means the payment due for the each month is due
the last week of the previous month.
If a student wishes to discontinue lessons, they need to
let Gayle know at or before payment time,
or they will owe me for the first lesson of the month.

Wow, those lessons are expensive! When I took piano lessons for a short while, the teacher charged $15 for a half hour. But it would be kind of cool to take lessons from someone who used to work with Prince.

Great piece on Gayle. It is nice to see that she has been doing very well for herself. I might have to check out her website.
