No disrespect to him but I just can't picture anybody doing that cool-pimp-gigalo-act anywhere nealy as good as Morris Day.Well, maybe Prince. hmmm

Alexander O'Neal could never take Morris Day's place. Prince, himself, looked silly as hell when he tried to act like Morris in "Under The Cherry Moon".

Alexander is a better singer than Morris, but I still think Morris was the better choice for leader of The Time. For some reason,I can't imagine Alexander singing stuff like "The Stick" or "The Walk".

Alexander O'Neal is definately a far better singer, but Morris fits the "role" of the Time's lead singer perfectly. I don't think it would have worked with Alexander, or anyone else as lead singer of the Time.

That character was his (Prince's) Frankenstien. Prince created it and Morris took it to another level!

Morris was definetly born to lead the Time. I really couldn't see anybody else leading that band. His stage persona is perfect for that group
