Jill Jones?? Jill Jones, who is she?
Of my many year of listening to Prince and his protege artists I have never heard of Jill Jones. Only other place besides Prince websites I see her in mixedfolks.com. Working up a purple sweat. | |

Only other place besides Prince websites I see her in mixedfolks.com. she met P as a background singer for Teena Marie in the early 80's when she opened for him on one of his tours...she recorded vocals on the 1999 album also featured in the videos from the album "1999" and "Automatic" the blonde haired lady with Lisa....she also appeared in Purple Rain as the cocktail waitress...released a album in 1987 on Paisley park...appeared in Graffiti Bridge as P's love intrest.... I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.

I agree 2! The whole album is so delicious! I was listening to the album last night. The 12" singles and b-sides are pretty good also. | |

that album is great! "mia bocca" is funky, but "all day, all night" is supersexy,i love her cries. it´s a shame that it´s unavailable on CD. [Edited 3/22/05 7:53am] | |
