Does anyone have Come 2 my house by Chaka Kahn? Would you recomend I get it? I really like New Power Soul and was wondering if this album has a similar vibe/sound? What songs do you think are good on the album? Can you tell me if it sounds like New Power Soul with that funk/R&B vibe?

I think it's a MUCH better album than the uninspired 'New Power Soul'.It's Chaka's best work in years.Some songs will remind you of her Rufus days.Uptempo jams like "Spoon" and "Pop My Clutch" are FUNKY,and there are some fine slower tracks like "This Crazy Life Of Mine" and my favorite "The Drama".The title track is nice....a sexy,jazzy,haunting number with eerie drums.Prince is the ideal producer for Chaka.He is obviously a huge fan of her work with Rufus,and on this album,he attempts to bring her back into the funk,and he largely succeeds.

I highly recommend this CD. One of Chaka's best. Great production and great music.

It sounds a lot like "Newpower Soul" & "GCS 2000" since the 3 albums have been recorded at the same time & thought as being a trilogy.

It's definitly Chaka's best album (with "C.K."), & one Prince's best 90's albums also.

U SHOULD have it !!!
