yes. uh yes, but he's also a bass god whose thumb defined a genre (funk). He was the bass player for the greatest funk band ever: sly & the family stone who pioneered the thumb popping/slapping technique and did more than anyone except james jamerson and bootsy collins to increase the prominence and technique of the electric bass in Rock N roll. | |
