Mani's citizenship

Does anyone know if Mani had to change her citizenship when she and P got married?

Well, I married an American and I am British and I didnt have 2 change mine, although it might not b such a bad idea!!!! I expect Mani has Alien Resident status!!

Becoming a US Citizen was the best thing Jane Seymour has ever done!! America has done far more for her, personally as well as for her career than the UK has ever done!!! nod nod

Jane Seymour herself has said that if she stayed here she would still b doing low budget British movies!! She has made more money from Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman than she ever made in anything shes done here!! Plus the fact that she has a huge business empire in the USA and her paintings also sell extremely well in the USA more than here!!!

The same goes for other people 2 like Olivia Newton John, Tracy Ullman, Jane Leeves and other British film stars!! They have all found more success in the USA than they would ever have found here!!

So what is the deal when you go to america to have your craft and talent recognized, and it doesnt happen - then what? Do you end up back in your
own country living with your parents and become all bitter and twisted posting
how bad the country is?
I guess you could always have another go and move back to america again
lol

So Jane Seymour is such a fantastic actress she thinks she deserves more than crappy TV movies starring Farrah Fawcett Majors...please she was a Bond girl and such a bad actress her bloody voice was dubbed.

And since when does talent have anything to do with money (your favourite topic of conversation I notice).

Look at all the ones who can't ever break the USA...Robbie Williams...Craig David...all I can say is the Yanks must have some taste after all..mind you..they are letting you back in so they must be slacking a bit!

Someone who is not a US citizen is not required by law to become a US citizen before marrying a US citizen on US soil.

She always does this, fires off what she believes to be correct and does not do her research!

Olivia Newton John was born in Cambridge, ENGLAND, which makes her a UK Citizen!! But she lived for many years in Australia before returning 2 the UK and then subsequently moving 2 the USA!!! Hence that is why she has a UK/Aussie/US accent!! lol lol

The same as the Bee Gees, they were born in the Isle Of Man, but spent many years in Australia, then came back 2 the UK before heading over 2 the US!!! lol lol

I know someone who is from Europe, and he married a woman from US and they had to go through all kinds of immigration and legal paperwork for him to be able to stay here. I think he had to get some kind of visa or he couldn't stay.

U aint kidding!! When I applied 2 emigrate 2 the USA in 1993 I had mountains of paperwork 2 fill in, plus 2 or 3 trips 2 the US Embassy and then Pledging an Oath of Allegience, then I had 2 get blood tests done, X-Rays taken and a medical exam, then I had 2 have my photos taken by THEIR photographer, then fingerprints taken the UK end, then when I arrived the other end I had 2 have them done again!! All this in order 2 get my Green Card!! The thing is when I first started applying for emigration 2 the USA, I was immediately put on the FBIs database, so when I arrived the other end in Minneapolis, they were moreorless waiting for my arrival as it was all on their files!! This country doesnt do half of this regarding Immigration!! No wonder this country is in such a state!!

The thing is, everything has toughened up regarding entering the USA since 9/11!!

Since Mani is Canadian, I don't think she actually had to change her citizenship. Anchorman for ABC news Peter Jennings, has been a Canadian for many years while living in US and having a high profile job. I think he just this past year changed his citizenship. Mel Gibson is Australian/American, his wife is Australian, and she is still Australian and lives in both US and Australia.

I have doubts about the ability to vote, but we know what Prince thinks about voting, so I don't think his wife cares about not voting.
I have several associates who married Canadian citizens, but these women all moved to Canada to live and commute to Detroit to work. So maybe there is a reason that they cross the bridge rather than their spouses moving here.

Let's not forget all members of the spice girls who quickly and rightfully lost popularity in the US but still stayed popular in England, not to mention that most of them had solo success in their native country. If that's not regurgitated trash then I don't know what is.

Wouldn't she have to get some kind of visa to stay here for long lengths of time?

I have no idea where u got the idea that the Spice Girls have any solo success here in the UK from!! None of their careers have reached any catastrophic heights!! They are all just red carpet fillers at events and premiers!! The only one who has maintained any kind of fame is Posh Spice aka Victoria Beckham and shes only remained in the public eye cos she married our soccer hero, David Beckham!! Even she hasnt been able 2 reach any solo success!!

They are all has beens now!!
