Keyboards and the Revolution

Was Matt Fink or Lisa Coleman the "main" keyboardist for the Revolution? When I look at old performances, it seems like Matt is doing most of the fancy stuff, with Lisa just doing backup. True or not true?

Snap

I don't know much, but it seemed to me that Matt was used mostly for the fast funky improvisational work, whereas Lisa was used for the technical and atmospheric classical parts. I believe they were seen as equal because they were both very talented, but in different ways.

I know Fink did the synth solos (lead line solos like at end of ZBaby I'm a star, head etc), and Lisa did the acoustic piano stuff.

But who would play the "hohens" when P would say "gimme some horns"??

Matt played most leads... They were both great players and super talented, though!

yeah..theres an awesome interview that the Dr. gives with Rosie Gaines were they talk about Lisa.....Matt said then that he would usually get the solo grooves while lisa would play the rest...like snap said, she would create mood and atmosphere with her playing..something she perfected for Meshell's Bitter....

i still cant believe that Bitter has very lil wendy input and is mainly Meshell and Lisa....too cool!!

Lisa is all over "Fool of me". The atmosphere on that song is incredible.
