Pick up her 1988 album 'The Lover In Me'.It contains two songs that were written and produced by Prince: "Cool Love" and "101".Those two songs are excellent.

"101" was a single with dance mixes by David Morales and Prince(?). I can't remember who exactly remixed the Uptown Version right now. I have the record tucked away at home.

Damn, there was a maxi single of that track? I LOVE that song ("For every night that u've been gone, I've lit a candle..."). I never knew there were other versions. Oh well.

shaomi

1984: Sugar Walls on A Private Heaven, + 2 remixes
1987: Eternity on Nothing But A Heart, + 1 remix
1988: 101 & Cool Love on The Lover In Me, + at least half a dozen remixes of 101

I'd add that A Private Heaven is crap but very fun 2 listen 2 cuz of it's typical 80's kitsch sound. Nothing But A Heart is absolute crap (sounds as if Kenny Rogers & Bonnie Raitt made a record 2gether). The Lover In Me is a nice dance/funk album by the standards of its time, but nothing un4gettable.

I consider Sugar Walls, Eternity & 101 as being GREAT Prince songs. Cool Love is... cool. wink

That's all, folks...

Looking at my U.S. 12" right now--Prince did indeed remix the Uptown Version of 101. 8:20 long.

Sheena has denied that she was ever involved with Prince romantically."We're friends",she said."I've never slept with him!".

the british tabloids at the time reported that Prince had bought a Love Nest for
them in Paris.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!
