i wish. unless you wanna pay the big bucks for it on eBay, you'll have to wait for the day it may get reissued, which could be never (though i doubt it).

this has to be my favorite non-prince (even though it's ALL prince, really) paisley park/prince-produced album, hands down. it's delicious.

nod

its hard to find though..i ordered it from two different places a year ago and recieved one six months later and am still on back-order status for the second...

its an acustic album with chris bruce (wendy and lisa's friend and now doyle bramhall smokestack bandmember and best bub of seal) producing and playing guitar...

total different style then her debut but still has the same vocal executions (for better or worse depending on your personal taste)...i play feature all of the songs from the album on girlbros radio..depending on the month the songs are well recieved or hated.

two is avialable on iTunes. I don't buy watered down DRM tracks myself, but last year, when Pepsi did their promotion, the first 9 winning caps I got were used to grab this (as I don't have an easy way to get the CD). It sounds more... mature... then the first album, but I like them both. It's well worth the effort, and I'll track down the acutal CD someday.

Yes, Jill sings on "You Do Me" which you can find on the Sakamoto-Album "Beauty".

Also, "you DO Me" was released as a 12" single with re-mixes.

I believe a 2nd album was recorded and completed with Prince in the early 90's but the only thing I have seen or heard of it was the video for (I think) " Bang Bang".

I just listened to her album, recently, I wish I heard it when it came out in 87, a lot of other people I know would have loved it back then too, what a shame

On the Sakamoto record, I'm pretty sure that was Ingrid Chavez, who first appeared on the intro to LOVESEXY ("Rain is wet/sugar is sweet/clap your hands/and stomp your feet" etc) & later played Aura in Grafitti Bridge. Chavez--who was a vocalist & poet-- later married David Sylvian of 'JAPAN', but only after hooking up with Lenny Kravitz and writing JUSTIFY MY LOVE first (which later went to Madonna). It's wierd... We were just discussing this the other day because a local DJ cited Kravitz & Madonna as songwriters for JUSTIFY, which is totally incorrect.

I don't know how much you guys know about Chavez, but she's a very interesting charecture. Most of the men around here on the scene do not speak of/remember her with much respect but from one woman to the next, I think it's because she intimidated them. She was a warrior who she knew what she wanted, went after it and usually got it. Minneapolis scandal says:

Chavez came here to hook up with Prince & make a name for herself. She lived on Nicolett Avenue in small apartment which used to be above what is now a Vietnamese resturant. Chavez ((who also did the original/demo vocal on NATURAL SELECTION's 'Do Anything/Just Can't Get Enough')) became P's girl & collaborator for a minute. He helped her out-- let's say-- in more ways than one. Chavez eventually grew tired of P (she began rebelling against his controlling ways/attitude towards women- even going so far as to cut her hair off while they were filming Grafitti Bridge, which cost THOU$AND$ of dollars in re-shoots!), met and became interested in Lenny Kravitz. Lenny was then married to Lisa Bonet, but things were on the rocks. Chavez wanted Lenny and she got him. They began having an affair. Needless to say, Bonet found out and the two seperated. Chavez & Kravitz penned JUSTIFY MY LOVE. Chavez (a passionate woman, no doubt, and a woman to NEVER be ruled by men) then became involved with David Sylvian, who was one of her musical heroes. To my knowledge, Chavez has not produced anymore music, though she did have a project called OVA in the works at one time and did a few other cameos.
