I was wondering if Ta Mara and The Seen ever preform live.

I saw them perform once on American Bandstand. I would think over the course of two LPs they would have had to perform live somewhere.

I just saw Ta Mara (Margret Cox) singing at Bunkers 2 weeks ago. She's there every Monday with Michael Bland and Sonny Thompson playing in Dr. Mambo's Combo. Great band if you ever get a chance to see them.

And yeah did they ever peform live back in teh day? I was just listening to her first album last week on my ipod. I love that sound.

Mambo's Combo does a variety of music but mostly pure Funk. I don't think that Ta Mara and the Seen ever toured. And yes Bunkers is in Minneapolis. Go if you can.

they are a cover band so they do alot of oldies and stuff, mostly funky stuff... sometimes they do a spoof on our guy but nothing too serious....she sings mostly....

They have toured before, as an opening act for Alexander O'neal & Cherrelle.....It was around the time when Cherrelle's Affair album was out.
