You seem to have a knack for attracting rich and famous men. What’s your secret?
That’s funny. No, well when I met Prince it was really a work relationship. It took a couple of years for it to flourish into a relationship. I think with any relationship even if men are famous you should realize that they are human beings too. I guess because I grew up on stage and in theater, nothing overwhelms me. So there’s no secret. It just happened.


So it’s not your incredible bellydancing skills that we’ve heard about?
Well I have to say that that is definitely a plus. It’s definitely an interest-getter.


You are most often referred to as Prince’s ex. Aren’t you tired of this?
I’m definitely trying to get that out of people’s heads. Because that can be a negative, in a way. I learned a lot from him, and it’s an experience that I can’t even express. It was a great experience. It was everything, a whole array of different things. I’m honored to have been associated with him for so many years.


Now I’m just trying to show what I’m doing. People don’t realize my accomplishments before I got involved with him. We worked together and I was his lead dancer. We worked on music. I had an album out. I just want people to know that there was something on the creative side, that it was more than just the personal side.

oh girl, she needs to NOT talk about the god awful "child of the sun" record. it ain't gonna do nothing for her career, lol. also, is it just me or does she seem to refer to her "experience" with p in an odd way...i mean, she sounds more like an ex business partner than an ex wife.

mayte most definitely has had a boob job... her boobs have increased about 2 cup sizes..since being with prince...
she went from an a to a full c cup...they dont look 2 good in the first photo on the site either..they look kind of pointy???
