Question About The Mazarati Concerts I know Mazarati played two concerts (Oakland & San Francisco) on consecutive nights in 1985. Are these the only two concerts that Mazarati did?
Just so everyone knows - these concerts were off the chain - I have seen a video of the whole San Francisco concerts and a partial of the concert with Sheila E performing with Mazarati. Did Sheila E perform with Mazarati at the Oakland concert or is this a different concert?

In the advertisement, they mistakenly said that Mazarati would be appearing in Prince's next movie (UTCM),lol. Around early 1986,there were tentative plans for Sheila E,The Family and Mazarati to do a "Paisley Park Revue"-type concert tour.It would have been interesting but it never materialized, presumably because of the Family's sudden break-up.

The Family broke up and Sheila E. joined Prince's band so that tour did not happen. The last track on Sheila's 1987 solo album is "Blue Train". Maybe this was meant to be a kind of antheme for that whole touring project. The "famous" lines "Jerome, upside your head, Mazarati upside your head" were discussed here before (some monnths ago).

Maybe these concert are from 1986 or 1987 instead of 1985. The San Francisco concerts ended with America and the other concert I have is Mazarati with Sheila E performing America with Holly Rock and Love Bizarre mixed in. [Edited 1/10/05 8:07am]

I remember when that was announced I was euphoric!!! I couldn't wait to see it. But it never came to be. That was yet another reason why the Family Jamm was so great last year, finally reunited The Family, Sheila, and the other acts.
