I think I read in DMSR that they met on the set of "Batman", were together 4 a short while, recorded some music and split up. I remember something about the fight being so bad that Kim left her car parked at Paisley Park and never came back for it. Prince later had it towed.

I read that they were together about 6 months round Batman and I also read that after they recorded the Scandalous Sex Suite (her moans and groans)the cleaner came in the next day to find honey all over the console Another bit of gossip (because I wouldn't like to bet that either of these two are true!) was that they took a bath together one time - not filled with water but with champagne!

Liz Jones' Slave to the Rhythm covers their relationship in about 3 pages and says pretty much what's already been said.

They wrote the original script for Graffiti Bridge together, according to this book, and she apparently dumped him because she found him with someone else.

The album he did for her was kinda weak, it was just ok and had the total BatMan Theme going on and never really saw the light of day officially it was more like listening to a damo recording session.

Kim hooked up with Prince in the summer of 1989,and reportedly moved in with him that fall.In addition to recording the "Scandalous Sex Suite" together,she appeared on the unreleased track "Soul Psychodelicide" (actually,just at the beginning),and began writing the 'Graffiti Bridge' script with him.She was planning to star in the film with him,which horrified her managers...lol...in January 1990,the two of them were finally caught out in public together,and the photo appeared on the National Enquirer.A month or so later,they split up and Prince begin shooting 'Graffiti Bridge' without Kim (he abandoned the script that they wrote together).There are *RUMORS* that Kim recorded a solo album called 'The Color Of Sex',which remains unreleased.It's likely that Prince had alot to do with this album.In 1993,Prince sampled Kim on the song "Peach".("I sampled her ass",he boasted as he performed this song at a concert).

I have the Prince/Basinger CD,"A Hollywood Affair" and some of the tracks are actually pretty good. I'm not saying that they would have won any grammys or anything but they were not bad. Kim can actually carry a tune alot better than I thought, and the music was definetly in the sound of 1989-1991 period. Listening 2 the album now, U can hear how "dated" the music is. But it's actually good, it should have been released because it had good club-style potential.

"A Hollywood Affair"??? What songs are on it?? Is this the unreleased Kim Basinger album that she recorded with Prince? Or,is it just a bunch of unreleased Prince tracks with Basinger adding backup vocals/moans/etc??

An interesting note to add to this...

a few years back Prince appeared on the Rosie O'Donell show. I believe it was during his promo for Emancipation (not sure).

I found it very interesting that the next guest which Rosie had on after Prince was none other than Alec Baldwin, (Kim's husband at the time, who wasn't promoting anything).

Hhmmmmm. Coincidence? I always thought there had to be something more to that.....
