to read this email, we can be thankful!).

I'd also like to take this opportunity to let you know about something very
special. Many of you have expressed interest in the unreleased Modernaires/Dez
Dickerson Band material. After much planning and discussion in our camp,
we've decided to make available a one-time, limited edition retrospective (sort
of Dez-trospective !) collector's package. It will include a double disc CD
(complete with comprehensive 'liner notes' from me, describing interesting
facts and anecdotes about the recordings), and a photo album (featuring photos
from my personal collection not published in "My Time With Prince"). The
package will span from 1982-1986, and will include photos and music from my Special
Guest stint on Billy Idol's 1983-84 "Rebel Yell" tour.

Here's where it gets interesting-we will only release 250 of these Limited
Edition Retrospective packages. Each one will be signed and numbered (like an
artists serigraph), and the first 100 of you to order will receive a personal
letter of authenticity from me. We'd like to make this very special-for that
reason, after 250 sets are sold, it will never be offered again.

What's the price? $50 for a double disc of never-before released material,
and a photo album of never-before-published personal photographs.

There's one other thing-I really want to make certain that this is something
you're interested in as fans and friends. For that reason, we won't
manufacture these sets until we have received at least 100 pre-orders. We're asking
that those of you who want to take advantage of this one-time offer pre-order
with a $10 deposit via Paypal. As soon as we have the first 100, we'll
manufacture immediately, and those of you who pre-ordered will receive the package
including the personal letter of authenticity.

I ordered the book so I guess I got on the email list. The only thing I know is what is in the email. It came from Absoluteguys@aol.com . This is also the email to paypal to I assume. When I went to my paypal account they had that in my list of people I had previously paypaled. I put down a $10 pre-order deposit cause it sounds like it should be a fun little package.

I'm pumped about the set, but 55 bones for a 2-disc set is kinda steep. A tracklist would be nice, since it has obviously been compiled now. The early stuff is drool-worthy, I just don't want to end up with outtakes from his current "jesus" period as the bulk of this package. Hmmmmm...

Hmmm...I placed a preorder a couple of weeks back, when this project first surfaced (paid the $10 deposit), yet I have not received this latest email asking for the rest of the money to complete the order. Doesn't seem very well organized - particularly since they were offering the bonuses for the first 100 preorders...

It would be Cool if it had the Time and Vanity 6 songs he demoed, but I bet thats not going to happen

been postponed due to an unforeseen delay in the CD manufacturing. We hope to

just as soon as we can.

The good news is, we were able to remaster most of the tracks as well. I'm
very excited about this collection, and hope you all enjoy it. We will keep
you posted on the revised ship date. I apologize for the delay, and I will
