MAYTE just played "Call My Name" video I thought this was an interesting moment that just happend. MAYTE is a co-host for this new tv show called "Across the Hall" on SITV cable network. The show is a themed daily video show. Todays theme was "dont call it a comeback", and the second video on the show was .... Prince "Call My name" and Mayte played it, her Co-host was trying to get her to laugh before the video but Mayte was trying to be serious, no mention of them being married or anything like that, but she was a little embarrassed and her co-host starting talking about the them of the video and then asked Mayte if she liked the Video and Mayte said "NO" and then laughed.

Understandable... the song is about Mani. I'm sure Mayte wasn't too happy with the way Mani got to know Prince. And really, Mayte was never with Prince, she was with  , right? She never even got to call his name like Mani did.  | |

She's not been with Tommy Lee for about a year. i read the Mayte parts from Mr Lee's Autobiography right here on the org, and they split amicably and are still good friends. U no, Mani was in the "Come On" video so that says she was working for Prince when Mayte was still in the picture. Kinda sad that Mayte was put in that situation with the video of Call My Name. I wonder what her thoughts were at the time? Does she really miss him? Did Prince have an attraction 2 Mani when Mayte was still roaming the hallways of Paisley Park? Man, if only I was a fly!

I don't know why y'all sitting up here feeling all sad for her. She knew she was hosting a video show, she knows her ex husband is a friggin' legend in music. She should have had preventative measures in her contract or something, she had to know it would happen some day. PLEEZE...

A clause in her contract preventing her from ever having to introduce a Prince video? How professional and mature would something like that make her look?  Mayte might not be a mental giant but I do think she realizes the magnitude of Prince's career and and the HIGH probability that, as host of a video show, of one day having to introduce one of his videos.
IMO, the guy hosting the show with her showed a pathetic combination of no class, no tact, a bad case of immaturity, and a twisted sense of 'humor' if he was egging Mayte on to laugh or make some stupid comment about a man with whom she shares a failed marriage and deceased child. It's my opinion that Maybe could've easily and maturely handled introducing a Prince video had she not had to deal with the awkwardness of some moron's lame attempts at making joke out of the situation. Lastly, maybe the armchair psychiatrists and body language experts oughtta give it a rest. Watching Mayte's eyes on a television program is hardly a reliable way to deduce her innermost feelings or thoughts, or if she really "misses" Prince.
