You may try to look for him under Morris Day and The Time. He has, I think, 3 albums as Morris Day. Before that he was in THE TIME. There are 4 albums (?). Prince wrote most of the material.

Try a used music shop, look in the R&B section for The Time
(thats where I found them)

they are a real group. You've probaly heard of Janet Jackson?
well the two guys behind her music were in the group (Jimmy Jam& Terry Lewis)
And Morris Day is just the man!

If you like the Purple Rain music especilly, look for
Ice Cream Castles both of the movies songs are on it
plus I think the title song is pretty sweet and Chilli Sauce is so funny lol
If you will, so will I

Modernaire was performed by Dez Dickerson who was a guitar player for the
Revelution pre-1984 (hes in the videos for LRC, 1999, Contreversy, etc)
Wendy took his place, but I think his little cameo in the movie was
pretty nice anyway. wink

Wow, if the staff in your local record store have never heard of the Time, they shouldn't be working in a record store IMO. Granted, the Time were not the most popular band in the world, but they are known and they did have a hit or two. I hope you find what you're looking for.

The best Time albums are the first two, 'The Time' & 'What Time Is It?'(the ones with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis).
