How do you think an artist like Prince overlooks horrible vocals like these?
Actually, Vanity's sucked too.
Neither could sing.
Is he really just blinded by beauty like most men?

Can beauty and talent co-exist? I mean, out of the hundreds of girls that tried out for the roll of Apollonia, none of them were cute and could sing? P was definitely thinking with the wrong head when he selected Patricia. I cringe everytime I hear the part in Sex Shooter when she say 'wooohoooo.'

I think it's a shame that Prince often chooses female singers who can't sing at all, just because they look good . People like Mayte should never have recorded an album

Who listens to the voice? I listen to the "ad-libs" and the inflection - I mean, it's like, officially licensed Prince karaoke.

I'm surprised that YOU're surprised by this. Prince more than any other artist is none for giving NON-talented Hot women record deals.

Appolonia takes the cake. She couldn't sing at all.
But let's not forget Vanity, Mayte and Carmen Electra.

Well I liked her on the Twighlight Singers album, she had kind of a yoko vibe.

I like Appolonia's speaking voice - very eclectic. She spoke-sang songs, because she's definely no singer. Listen to Happy Birthday,Mr. Christian - although Brenda steals the song.

I honestly liked Carmens style of rapping.....her attitude was cool and sexy, yet still strong, bold but not slutty.....Apples is so much worse then Carmen in every way.....I truly like Caremns image.....her adlibs r sexy too!
