Do you agree that Prince and Michael Jackson should duet?

I've always thought that Prince and Michael should duet and I think that now would be the perfect time. Prince missed out on a great opportunity when Michael proposed the duet on the 'Bad' song, and I think the fans of both artists would still love to see them put their differences behind them. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm a huge fan of both of them, but they are so similar it's unreal, both born in '58, the religous connection, and the fact they ruled the 80's music scene, it would be a shame if they never worked together - so let's see it happen someday!

naw, bad idea. 10 reasons why:

1) too many egos on stage

2) i would hate for mj to try and do the moonwalk and accidentally slide into Prince

3) would hate for prince to retaliate by doing a split then knocking the mic stand over and mj tripping over it, spraining his ankle

4) they would be in court arguing over who should own the song

5) while rehearsing, Prince would waste time trying to teach mj how to play the piano

6) mj would waste time trying to prove to prince that he didn't do nothing to those boys

7) prince would call up larry and have an all out bible study session after rehearsal with mj, or at least try to

8) prince would get mad at mj for calling liz taylor asking for suggestions for their song

9) mj would offer Prince some jesus juice and prince would refuse

10) prince would offer mj his black book and mj would refuse
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

If MJ ever gets his head back on straight and returns to some semblance of normalcy I think it would be VERY cool.
Many Christmas' ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reached for the last one they had, but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.

I dont think its a good idea. I just cant hear their voices on a track together. Maybe if P did the music and let MJ sing, but other than that I dont see it happening.

falloff On a serious note it would of been cool if they done a duet back in the 80s but now I just can't picture them doing a duet so my answer is No.

Heck no!

That would be the worst thing that P could do for his image right now is to get involved with MJ. From a public view standpoint, I don't think it would go over well AT ALL....although it would be interesting musically.

I don't think Prince should duet with anyone. Besides "Rave" being a sorry album on it's own, the fact that Prince did duets also was a turnoff. It was like he was following in Michael Jackson's footsteps. Prince should stick to being an individual.

I'm talking about doing duets with major stars. Most of Prince's duets were with people from his own camp that he made famous, with the exception of Sheena Easton. Even though Sheena was already a star when Prince hooked up with her to produce "Sugar Walls" and later did a duet on "U Got The Look", she was still not NEAR the star she became after hooking up with Prince.

Michael Jackson, on the other hand, relies on the help of megastars like Paul McCartney and Eddie Van Halen to make him big. He also needs the help of bigtime producers like Quincy Jones and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis (Prince protegees, I might add) to make him a success also. He also teamed up with Rod Temperton to help him with "Off The Wall".

Prince does it alone and the little help he receives comes mainly from his own camp of unknowns that he has made stars. With the exception of the disgraceful "Rave" of course.

Which is worse, getting help from people who are already famous, or getting help from people who aren't and not giving them the credit they deserve?

Anyway, If MJ and Prince were to do a duet I would say they should do "Give in to me"

Hell no, they are so different. Except for their successes in their own right I don't understand the comparisons. They need to stay away from each other always!
