Go out and buy a copy of Sheila E's "Sex Cymbal", listen to it through and through, and then see if you still think she sucked as a solo artist. If it hadn't been for her untimely illness, I truly believe she could have gotten some real hits out of that album (and the critics at the time agreed). She never had the pipes that Rosie and Bonnie were graced with, but her prowess as a musician is undeniable. The fact that she jammed w/ the late great Tito Puente & held her own is remarkable. Also remember that she was "on the scene" way before Prince enterd the picture, as a session musician for the likes of Diana Ross and Lionel Richie. U must be aware that she is still releasing albums, but she belongs to the world of Jazz now.

However, if U need to ask who Tito Puente was, then forget about it. Just, forget about it man.
