Mayte is going to be featured in an item song in a Hindi movie. ‘Items songs’ are songs where a person makes a special appearance for a particular song in a film without actually being a part of the whole movie. This news along with a photograph appeared today in the Sunday magazine supplement of the ‘Indian Express’, a well read Indian newspaper. Here’s the story “-

This sizzler was the Purple One’s very own woman. Mayte Garcia, Prince’s former spouse and an actress, is all set to make her Bollywood debut in Nitin Manmohan’s DUS in an item number. While the number called ‘Deedar de’ sung by Sunidhi Chauhan is very hip-hop, the item itself was recommended by LA based choreographer Liz Imperio. “We were looking for someone like J Lo or Christina Aguilera, but we loved Mayte when we saw her videos. She looks Latin American and Indian at the same time”, says Manmohan of the 31 year old Puerto Rico born hottie.
