Totally agree!

These guys (and I think mainly Eric) brought Prince to a new level and gave his sound a new feel.

This is how live horns should be incorporated into P's music..... not the vegas style horn section he got going now (dont' get me wrong, I respect each player a lot, it's just a different feel).

From what I understand, Eric was one of the few musicians he trusted to come up with parts for the music himself (like W&L)....

And he has a great tone and style.

I think in concert Matt and/or Lisa used to play samples of him in unison cuz the horn parts always sounded thicker than just 1 sax and 1 trumpet.
