Who is Tyka nelson?

i love Tyka -- she is the sweetest thing, and it shows write through her songwriting and her voice -- i can't really think of a bad song that she did

edit: okay, i'll mention one of my fav songs she wrote: "Paris" (about Prince and all going to France in '85 and leaving poor little miss Tyka behind) -- a lovely tune!

I used to have her cassette. It was horrible. I put tape over the tabs and recorded over it years ago.

I actually like the sound of the whole tape.
I was always intrigued by how different from Prince she looked.
I named my second daughter Tyka. My first is Elektra.

On another note, there has never been another kid in class with their names. That was the whole point. They are unforgettable and they deserved names all to themselves (with some exceptions, of course.)

Is this the sister he was talking about in the song "Sister" and the one who sued him stating she wrote some of the lyrics to "U Got The Look" but he never gave her credit for it? Is P still on good terms with her?

Marc Anthony's Tune is one of her songs, along with Royal Blue. I just finished transfering her album (vinyl) to CD. It's not a great album, her voice is a little thin.

I had Royal Blue on cassette back in the day. Bought it for the same reason most people did- a curiosity for Prince fans- and probably didn't listen to it more than once since I remember nothing about it.

I could swear I read elsewhere on the org that Tyka was a crackhead and Prince had helped her out by getting her into rehab. Can anyone confirm?
