THAT'S RIGHT!!!
I feel sorry for all the millions of people who missed Prince at the height... the true pinnacle, of his career. The height of his creativity, his tours, his albums. His career definitely shot skyward from For You – Lovesexy. He's bounced up and down ever since this great album. I'll never forget looking up at a half-full McNichols Arena, on November 3, 1988 and thinking... how? Why? Why would people miss out, on the greatest show ever created. I was pissed, because I bought 10 tickets, and a few people bailed on me at the last minute... I couldn't give these tickets away. And in the end, I did let people have them, just so they wouldn't go to waste. Oh well, at least I was blessed. Long live Lovesexy! Lovesexy Funkateer

Oh wow. I wish you could have been there. The Lovesexy tour was great! I caught both shows at the Oakland Arena way back in 1988. Great energy, great presence, great vibe. The current Musicology tour kind of has the same vibe (IMHO): in the round, high energy, better song selections, overall great vibe, etc... "Always blessings, never losses......"

Uh oh... I would seriously have to DISAGREE with you there. While the current Musicology tour has a great vibe, and high energy... better song selection? I don't think so. 2 things keep this tour from being as cool as Lovesexy. 1. Hoochie Dance off Sorry, straight annoying to me. I could see if they'd pick some fine women to go up there, but every show I've caught, these women aren't very attractive. 2. Song selection. As great a show as Musicology is, in a nutshell, it's really the Purple Rain tour Pt. 2, 20 years later. Not one song from the greatest album ever made is performed, unless he throws in "Alphabet St." during the acoustic set. Matter of fact, that's the main highlight of the tour and what makes it great in it's own right, is the acoustic set. But to stay on topic... to the women of the Lovesexy tour. Boni Boyer, R.I.P. Cat, where you at? Sheila E. Lovesexy Funkateer

Cat, where you at? Sheila E. I meant the Musicology tour has much more of the Lovesexy vibe than any other Prince tour I've seen. And by better song selection I mean better than the other recent concert tours by Prince. I agree with you on the hoochie dance off. "Always blessings, never losses......"

L o v e s e x y was the BOMB! Un4tunately I missed the whole experience but am certainly drawn to it and the energy around this time. I've got the 2 Livesexy videos and my God! - what a friggin' GRRRREAT show....what an experience.
To my mind, Prince was (and is) always the ultimate in performing!

Not very, actually... but when you pay $100 to see Prince and he's blocked by skanks who can't dance, and he puts the mic to them and they don't know the words to his songs... I just don't see the point. It's not very entertaining. It seems more like an inside joke for Prince to laugh at them. Lovesexy Funkateer

I didn't see the Lovesexy tour, but ONA was #2 on his greatest tour list IMO The Org is the short yellow bus of the Prince Internet fan community.

I totally agree!!! I paid my money $$$$ for second row and when the unattractive, skanky people were on the stage I thought it was a total waste!! I was HORRIFIED when they didn't know the words to the songs, couldn't sing, and didn't want to be part of THAT kind of attention. You could tell that they were not true fans of PRINCE and his talent. I think they just wanted to have that "hey look a stripper" attention in front of the audience. How stupid and clueless do you have to be to throw away an opportunity like that? To SING with PRINCE??!!!! It would have MADE my life.

That's all I'm saying.
Prince sticks a mic in front of your face and you turn away... what's up with that? A real fan would've sang the song. Lovesexy Funkateer

Does anyone have an update on where and what Cat is doing now? I thought she was an extraordinary dance and I wish she her career would've went further. I wondered if she still looks the same or has she changed in the last 15-16 years?

I sat in Channel 4's press box. Great view! I saw several of my friends at the concert. Hell the press box was empty so I invited them in.. It was wild. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

The Lovesexy concert was my indoctrination into the real of Princedom.
I "just liked" his music up until that point. The concert was like an awekening 4 me. Been a fanatic ever since. ...and of course, Sheila was AMAZING... By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!
