Rhonda's ethnicity I know Rhonda grew up in Montreal, but sometimes, especially in pictures, she could pass for a fair skinned black woman...curious to know her parents heritage. Plus, any idea how old she is?

Your post tickles me, it's kinda funny (i.e. "passing" for black). Also, there ARE black people in Montreal. I don't know her background at all. ( I just assumed she was a sista. I assume EVERYONE vaguely ethnic looking is a sista until I am told otherwise. I'm from New Orleans originally, and am used to folks looking all kinds of ways. So, I just include everyone until I hear different.) I don't know if she's black, but I do know she is funky. S Filthy cute and baby U know it

Aww hell, she looks Black to me She may not be, but she looks it. I'd be a bit surprised if she wasn't...
Why, what do you think she is? When she's not "passing for a light skinned Black woman" Seriously, I'd like to know what you think she is . [This message was edited Wed Aug 25 2:35:10 2004 by CalhounSq]

Oh stop it with this whole "race/ethnicity doesn't matter". Good grief, it was a simple legitimate question. Lighten up people. I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

actually I think it shows ignorance to what IS "black ethnicity". Black ppl aren't one way or another...some of us look like white ppl, some look "exotic", etc. etc. etc. some of us have blue eyes and blonde hair and some don't. Rhonda appears to be a black, light skinned woman. I think also we so confuse "race" and "cultural backgrounds". I have a friend who is hispanic but she often times says she "racially" black and culturally hispanic. Both of her parents are puerto rican. She identifies racially with one group and culturally another. Does that make sense? I think it goes back to that we all are mutts anyway....

i agree, "lighten up". but it does get tiring when folks try to say that ethnicity doesn't matter. it sometimes gives a clue to our influences. the different rainbows of culture are interesting. what a boring world if we were all the same..

Look they just asked an f**n question. Yaw kill me everytime somebody asked what somebody's ethnicity is? If you can't give a straight answer or just don't know. Then shut the hell up! We can ask as many black, white, mexican, asian, and all the rainbow color questions that we want!
