She was very average to me. When I first saw the movie I thought they could have had a much better looking leading lady. She also looked much older than 21!

I agree. Prince should have looked for a better looking leading lady.

At the time I didn't think she was as glamorous as the women Prince is usually seen with, but she's a thousand times better an actress than anyone else that has ever starred in a Prince film. She was hot in 'The English Patient'. I've since become a big fan of her.

i think its cool that they got back together and hung out a few years back.....she seems to totally respect the lil midget..

I wasn't feeling her at first because she wasn't exotic looking.I grew to appreciate her looks and have enjoyed her looks and talent in other films.

She was about 20,000 miles from hot. She was kinda old lookin' in that movie. But wasn't Prince knockin' on 30's door at that time? I thought she was a poor choice for the role. The entire movie was poorly acted and written for a younger set than any of the "actors" that were cast with the exception of Jerome's on screen girfriend. Great cinematography though. Would have made a better silent movie, cause I wanted to tell all of them to

I loved her in UTCM becuz she was the TOTAL opposite of the docile Appolonia in Purple Rain. She had a big mouth and an attitude! I thought she was/is great.

Kristin Scott is very pretty and she was perfect in my absolute favorite Prince movie of all U.T.C.M.

She was Very Pretty . I think others expected Exotic but she was SUPPOSE to be a WHITE RICH GIRL. I Read he Wanted Madonna in this Role and THAT would HAVe been SOMETHING...MATERIAL GIRL....

I thought she was very, very beautiful in UTCM.

And she was absolutely perfect as Mary - her attitude, her refinement, accent. Everything gelled together perfectly for her role the the snooty, spoiled rich girl type.

As usual with Prince, he had a definite vision for "Mary", and Kristin Scott Thomas fit it perfectly, imo.

(I think Madonna would've stunk up that movie had she gotten the part. They needed a more classy actress to portray Mary and well, Madonna just isn't that)

I do not think hot is the word for her but she was beautiful in a very plain way in the movie, Prince chosse her for that reason I like the movie.
