Mailing Address For Jia Blackwell Scholarship Fund Donations Fellow Fans of John Blackwell:
Like all of you, I am as much in awe of John’s talent and as entertained by his contributions to the New Power Generation as I am heartbroken by his family’s loss. As you know, John’s alma mater, the Berklee College of Music, has established the Jia Kennie Blackwell Memorial Scholarship Fund, and is organizing a fund-raising concert on campus in Boston featuring John and his friends, tentatively scheduled for December 11th. Tickets for the concert, to be held at the Berklee Perfomance Center, are not yet on sale. As soon as I know anything, I’ll pass it along. I hope the rest of you do likewise. Whether or not any of us end up going to the concert, I hope that all of us are able – through as generous a tax-deductible contribution to the fund as we can afford – to let the Blackwell family know where our hearts are. Contributions to the fund can be made by check payable to “Berklee College of Music”. On your check, please be sure to note, “Jia Blackwell Fund”. Then, mail your check to the following address: Marjorie O’Malley Berklee College of Music MS 1140 I.A. 1140 Boylston Street Boston, Massachusetts 02215 USA Keep the party movin' by $howin' your love.

Well, I know for a fact that you've seen "Jerry Macguire", so I'll play Renee Zellweger to your Tom Cruise and say "I'll go with you!". Or in this case, "I'll bump up your thread for you!!". Max ...I go 2 the max...I'm not afraid...I wanna dance...

I suppose one sure-fire way to bump this thread would be to hijack it with some high-traffic Mani/Mayte nonsense.
This week's topic: Sexiest ear lobe -- compare and contrast Mani's left vs. Mayte's right. Upcoming weeks: Mayte's left vs. Mani's right. Mani's right vs. Mayte's right Mayte's left vs. Mani's left.

The other thread looked kind of lonely up top by itself.

International Money Order? Max Earlier this year, I made out checks drawn on my American bank account in dollars to people on your side of the pond and all seemed to work out well. I assume it's a two-way street. Except, make your check out in dollars. Don't forget, were Americans over here. We'd be totally confused by a check made out in pounds or Euros. In response, we'd probably go Code Red and attack your country in search of checks of mass destruction.

I think that if I wrote out an English cheque in US dollars it would bounce its way back across the pond. In fact, the pound symbol is pre-printed on the cheque, so that knocks out that idea. I can't speak for all retailers, but I'd guess that apart from the tourist traps like Harrods and M&S, an American check wouldn't be accepted too easily in the UK. There must be a simple way for them to accept foreign donations without either side occuring major conversion fees? Max ...I go 2 the max...I'm not afraid...I wanna dance...
