ADORE

If Patrice Rushen was the inspiration for "I Feel For U", who inspired Prince to write "Adore"?

Wow. I would have never guessed that. I did not even know he was still dealin' w/ her during the SOTT-era.

eek
I know P wrote a song for Patrice, but I really thought it was a purely professional relationship.

I heard that he had "a thing" for Patrice Rushen. I didn't know she was the inspiration for "I Feel For U"

yeah he did write "i feel 4 u" for Patrice Rushen to record but she declined and he recorded it himself. And yes he did have a crush on her 2.

Adore and Strange Relationship were referred to Susannah, Wendy's twin.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I feel 4 U AND I wanna be your lover were both written for Patrice Rushen.

I would assume Susannah was still around during SOTT, didn't she help write the lyrics of Starfish and Coffee?
