Tony M.

After replying to the "willing and able" thread I realised how much I abhor Tony M. on all recordings. He runined willing and able, and one of my fav's love 2 the 9's.
Just curious, does anyone out here like anything that Tony M has ever done? I mean is there any ONE song that you can say that Tony M wasn't that bad on? Please list, I'd like to know.

As a review of the Symbol album said, by the time you reach the fourth track you've forgetten about Tony M. That's as good as it gets I'm afraid.
Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

This thread is the ultimate in bullshit. Tony M had an amazing voice and his rhymes were too iggnant for mere words to describe. In fact, when I listen to Brother With A Purpose, I get a hard on, although I still don't think that's an adequate show of my appreciation for this man's music. If I had my way, all of Prince's albums would be reissued with a Tony M rap on every song (Except Ronnie Talk To Russia because that's already perfect).

Those songs need rap as well as opening/closing monologues about settling the score with Moneyminders and/or booming booties. I would also like for Tony M to be digitally added into Prince's movies, specifically the love scene with Apollonia (He will be watching on from the corner with a bag of Chee-tos and a pervert's grin).

Why do everyone diss Tony M. he wasn't that horrible. If you don't like the raps, blame Prince for planning them in the songs, Tony M. was a decent rapper for the time. His suckiness is highly overrated.

---edit----

You know what, I love Tony M. so much that I fast forward the songs so I can just hear his parts, the guys a master. Who doesn't love the barrage of rapid fire "ignards" (ignorant) he spit out during his flow on My name is, the dude rocks.

I think some magic from the Sextacular Mosley Monster (My personal nickname for Tony M.) could spice up those pieces of musical diarrhea and make them into something listenable, yes.

And I'm much too high on Vitamin M to even consider cocaine.

Remember on the "Diamonds and pearls" tour when at the end of "Jughead", Damon, Kirk and yes even Tony jump off the stage.....complete with silly "ahhhhh" sound effects when they jump.....anyway, Tony's jump off the stage is down right the funniest thing I have ever seen.....the noise he makes cracks me up everytime!

Man, those gameboyz sure were wacky.....check Damon's dancing on "Delirious/willing and able" too.....very funny dancing.....

"What up London, we gotta go home" (Tony shouts this out at the end of the show)

"Nooooo" ((audience responding to Tony m)

"Hey london, can we go home?"

"Nooooo".....

"Diamonds and pearls" tour is easily the best prince tour period! But that is mainly because Tony M was in it though!

See, these last posts have been encouraging, I knew
EVERYONE couldn't hate the dude. It wasn't like the guy was a horrible rapper, he may just didn't fit in the entire spectrum of Princes music.

I bet if Prince would've discovered 2pac, Jay-Z or even Snoop and had them in place of Tony M. you people would've dissed them too.

I think Tony's rap on "my name is prince" fits in with the high energy perfectly, plus some good lines in there too ".....u must become a prince before ur a king anyway" is a great throwdown, followed by newjack chant "Do that, do that somebody".....I love it!

"Gangster Glam" is one of my all-time favorites.
