While I was watching my Prince/Purple Rain Anniversary DVD, the Sex Shooter video, I realized that Mani does not resemble Vanity at all.....Mani resembles Susan Moonsie.

I have always thought that Susan was always the prettiest of the four, so very exotic, very beautiful (coming from a heterosexual female point of view).

And I see the same beauty and exotic look with Mani.

Just an observation.....

They look nothing alike. I never thought Susan was pretty. She is odd looking.

actually i said the same thing just the other day oddly enough. it is not that Mani and Susan and Vanity look alike .

they favor one another they have the same something about them. Susan also has and indian (india) thing to her. Just like Mani. which i think she does have Indian in her. makes sense to me and many others that i pointed that out to.


you know it is not uncommon for All of us including Prince to have a certain taste in women a certain look about them. if you really look at all the ones he has had a real deep relationship (supposedly anyway) they all have that certain something.... all i know is i can spot a girl he would like in seconds out of hundred. and i have always been right.

I am always saying in my head when I see singers or people on TV or people on the street, "Prince would like her..."

He seems to get either the light light women with jet black wide hair (Vanity) or the dark skinned women (that look Native American or Arabic) with that jet black wide hair (i.e., Ananda Lewis and Susan Moonsie and Manuela Testolini).


Mani and Susan Moonsie just have the same color and same type of hair and that's about it. But I remember saying the same thing. I gasped and said to my sister, "That's Manuela."

Prince definitely has a type of girl he prefers.

Oh, it's so clear that Prince likes a certain type and that's his choice... the olive skin, dark look is VERY appealing...I like that look in guys, but I don't limit myself to just that group of boys. That looks seems to go well with bright kitchens and pantries, wood floors, farmhouses, market hopping and leisure bike riding on those old bikes with the baskets-- all the calm, country things. Mani (except for in that picture when she's making that "ghetto girl face.") looks as though she'd be on one of those old bikes riding up a cobblestone road-- even if she wasn't married to Prince, outside she would look as though she belonged in a movie...and this goes for VANITY and all his other similar looking exes.

In the picture above, Susan Moonsie looks prettier than Mani...the resemblance though is in the hair...

They do not look like each other at all, and for the record Mani is not part Indian. Here father is Italian and mother Egyptian.

Go down to Eastern Parkway (Brooklyn) during the West Indian Day Parade or up and down Flatbush & Church Ave. and you'll see plenty of women who like them.
