You cannot confirm a person's ethnic background or race based on pictures! I have a Prince interview cd that he did in the early 80's (during the "Dirty Mind" album). He talks about his ethnicity. Here is some of the dialogue:
Interviewer: "What are actually your roots?...I mean...you are not a "Black American"...by that I mean the "Black American". Where do your roots actually come from? PRINCE: "Well, my father's black and part Italian...and my mother's Italian...with something else...I mean I don't know...that's basically it." Sounds like the dude is basically saying that he is Black and Italian. He says his father is not even fully black and never says that his mom is black at all. Is he a liar? Why would he do that? Has he ever came out and admit to something else.(let me know if he has) Has he ever admitted to falsifying that? Why not just believe him and realize, that is why his mother in the movie can pass for an Italian woman... [Edited 9/2/04 15:30pm]

And I read an interview with him later in which he said he said that to give himself more mystery/crossover appeal and to make people focus less on the fact that he is black and more on the music. Good heavens, what's so bad about black? It's a just fine thing to be. S [Edited 9/2/04 14:53pm] Filthy cute and baby U know it

S [Edited 9/2/04 14:53pm] [/quote] I agree Why does it seem like every time someone who is black becomes really famous that "some" people try to make them out to be everything but that? I have to admit Prince did this to himself, along with the likes of people like Micheal Jackson, and Tiger woods. And it kind of pisses me off because one minute they don't want to be black and then the next they come running back when things go wrong(just look at MJ.....I heard he even went to an black church here recently). Hey Prince if you are reading this.....please straighten out your shit buddy! If not for yourself then for the memory of your late parents. REPRESENT your heritage man!!! Prince is black and so are BOTH of his parents. Most black americans born in the US are not 100% made of African blood. You can be dark complected like the handsome Michael Jordan and be mixed with other ethnicities. Black Americans come in many different skin tones.

A picture of her is on this thread, I dont know if you noticed. Then you atlk about a friggin movie.... I could name a number of scenario's to point out how stupid that logic is (i.e. Bruce Willis getting blown up in meteor movie but still being alive, the same for Samuel L. Jackson, I mean a dinosaur bit off his arm). This isn't a flame?

I laugh my azz off every time I see people have to explain that Prince wears his hair straight thanks to Dark and Lovely super formula.
