Is it the drugs that tore them apart? What happened in their relationship, how long were they a couple...?

Also, I wonder if "Denise Matthews" ex-Vanity would ever speak to Prince these days as they have both found religion?

Just read a book about P that basically made it out to look as though Vanity was more of a sexual conquest for him than a girlfriend. In fact, the author says Vanity 6 bandmate Susan Moonsie was probably the closest thing he had to a girlfriend at the time...plus he was also dealing with Jill Jones and who knows who else.

As far as looks go though, I have always thought Vanity was a GORGEOUS female; it's a shame her life spun so far out of control before she turned it back around. She and Prince did look amazing together though...maybe one day they'll speak again, but I doubt it'd mean anything romantic. That ship has sailed.

What I want to know, is why all these Prince exes never have children.

When I saw her on the Purple Rain SE DVD I was rather surprised at how haggard and bad she looked. Big bags under her eyes and she just looked tired and old.

As far as all the Prince exes go, I think Vanity and Sheila look the best nowadays.

Denise said that Prince sent her "get well" wishes (and a rose or flowers or something) when she was going through kidney dialysis -- this was at least three or four years ago. I remember her saying one time that she had talked to him on the phone -- in the late 90s, I believe. I think they still care for each other, as friends -- nothing more. It'd be cool if they'd get together for a Bible Study -- I daresay Denise knows the Word much better!!

hi y'all! I just lately found out about Denise becoming a Reverend and all that happened to her in the 80's and subsequent.

Denise and I were in a beauty pageant together in the late 70's. she won. Miss Niagara. We also had the same small town modelling agent. And we went to the same discos. Denise was absolutely gorgeous and very ambitious.

I think that that both will always have a place in their hearts for each other. Prime example, I didn't pay attention until some orgers pointed it out, but he practically has married a Vanity clone with Mani. When I see Mani I see Vanity, mainly when she's dolled up. Now she doesn't look like Vanity as much as Devin Devasquez (somebody else Prince screwed) does, but you can still see a close resemblance. Plus another thing some orgers pointed out Mani coming from Canada just like Vanity.
